They were saying last night that only three players have ever had back to back 40+ playoffs games on the road.
Jordan did it and TMac did it.

I think maybe Iverson and/or Vince Carter in the crazy Toronto-Philly second round series in 2001.

Lebron scored B2b but not on the road.
Whoever said it was right..... LMA is in a class with Tmac and Mj alone on this one.
Jordan did it in 86' and TMAC must have been early 2000's obviously.
The back to back 40 pt games in the playoffs thing has been done several times (maybe not on the road though). Players like Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, Rick Barry, and MJ have playoff series averaging over 40ppg. Bernard King had like four straight 40 pt games in the '84 playoffs. One of my favorite back to back 40 pt playoff moments was Penny Hardaway's performance against the Heat in '97.

Hell No! Kobe did it in 2001. Back to back on the road. Game 4 vs kings in the semi finals then game 1 wcf against the Spurs.

I knew the Rockets backcourt was bad defensively but I had no idea their front court could get destroyed.

So what ESPN was saying is TMac and MJ did it in the same series. And Tmac and MJ were sole number 1 options.....easier for Kobe do to that with PRIME SHAQ! Tmac and MJ had NOBODY.
Still impressive for Kobe despite it being easier to get buckets with one of the greatest players of all time creating more attention.

West, Baylor, King, MJ, Hardaway, O'Neal, Bryant, McGrady, James, Aldridge
then you can rank them :
On the road : West (65), MJ (86), Bryant (01), McGrady (03), James (09), Aldridge (14)
In win : West (65), King (84), Hardaway (97), O'Neal (00), Bryant (01), Aldridge (14)
In games in less than 100pts : Hardaway (97), McGrady (03)
West had 6 straight 40pts games in 65, King and MJ had 4 in 84 and 93.
For me, the most amazing perf was King versus the Pistons. they played a better team, he scored on an amazing regularity and efficiency (60%), and won the deciding game 5 on the road. :applause:

Yeah that scottie pippen, total scrub... this is why no one takes jordan fans seriously. You don't have to put pippen down to prop up jordan.

Hey ****ing idiot..... it was 1986, Pippen was in college.
STFU
I never put down Scottie. My 2nd fave player all time. Scottie never reaches the levels he did unless he comes up w/ MJ but thats obvious.
And excuse me, Ill say he had George Gervin in his last NBA season and Orlando Woolridge.....yeah surrounded by studs... no

Not just that...King was playing with dislocated finger(s), strained knee ligaments, and the flu.
