Do you think the Slow tough style vs the heat would be interesting ?

I actually thought Memphis last year could've taken out the Heat. They were the prototypical Heat-stopping team. And they had a terrific coach. I don't think they'd win this season, but they'd be a really tough out.

A toss up. They have no answer for two scoring, rebounding bigs.

The Heat can neutralize either Zach or Gasol but not both. I would assume the Heat would also try to shut down their ball handlers like the Spurs did. I think the Grizzlies have improved in this area.

no. tony allen can't bother LeBron the way he shuts down westbrook/Durant. lbj would feast, heat in 4

In a series?

Nope.

But it would be 6-7 games series only due to size advantage in the paint.

This.

J Shuttlesworth
04-24-2014, 11:02 PM
Nope. Heat would play small ball against them and Gasol/Randolph wouldn't be able to handle the minutes they are getting now, especially if games went to overtime.

Allen is NOT a lebron stopper.

Draz

I see it happening

Lebron23
04-24-2014, 11:09 PM
That's why Durant won't survive in the eastern conference playoffs against the 2011 Chicago Bulls, 2012 Boston Celtics, and 2013 Indiana Pacers. These teams played some physical, gritty defense.

Yes, the same people who think the Heat are the most stacked team of all time, are the same people who now think that Memphis would defeat the Heat.

Can yall please make up your minds?

Please?

heat in at most 5.
they would run circles around these fools.
cant win with chokers like gasol and randolph against a clutch team like miami.
maybe enough for ChokeKC but not for Miami
lmfao at these kobetards now jumping ship from their savior Durant to the grizzlies.

Not really. Last year Miami beat a superior spurs team who beat a much better grizzlies team in 7 games.

deja vu
04-24-2014, 11:16 PM
They have a better chance now of beating the Heat. That's partly because of the Heat's slight decline.

I don't think they'll make it out of the West.

EnoughSaid
04-24-2014, 11:16 PM
Nope. Miami's defense would abuse and trap Conley, and by going small they would prevent Gasol and Randolph from causing too much damage.

The thing with the Thunder is that Westbrook and Durant take SO MANY outside shots, not even bothering to attack the rim. Thunder's offense is also very ISO heavy and there's no ball movement. Miami works the ball and gets a good shoot.

Miami in 5.

Who will stop lebron and wade? Tony allen

hahaitme
04-24-2014, 11:21 PM
Well rather than jack up 3's like KD and RWB, LeBron and Wade would be driving in and probably getting buckets or fouls.
Either that or they'd just kick it out to Ray / Jones and well, we all know what they can do from the arc

If Memphis goes on droughts like tonight they have no chance they wont choke like OKC.

Honestly, Lebron has been eating Tony Allen alive dating back to his Celtics days. You can't win a physical war against LBJ, he is just superior. Their size could be a problem but the Heat would take it in 6 imo.

The Grizzlies have the best record in the NBA vs the Miami Heat Big 3 team.

Their coach is no joke either. If Heat fans truly believe Spo is a shit coach, he'd get exposed in that matchup just like Brooks is getting exposed right now.

I know. I thought he meant that because Spo is a better coach, he won't make the same stupid mistakes Brooks makes.

They would if Memphis were in the Eastern Conference. However, the Grizzlies aint getting past Spurs so no way they make it to NBA finals.

He obviously meant that Spoelstra wouldn't get out coached the way Brooks has. Nowhere did he say Brooks is Memphis' coach.

Heat in 6. Heat would eat them alive. They'll win 1 or 2 games due to size advantage.

Why in the world would win Miami win easily?

How many games have Miami's Big 3 won in Memphis? What's the record in general?

Memphis owns them.

SillyRabbit
04-25-2014, 02:34 AM
Memphis is specifically designed to take down Miami.

There's no question that The Heat would be down 2-1 or even 3-0 if they were in OKC's position.

Agreed. The last meeting the Heat totally controlled the game for the first 3 quarters, even without Wade! The Grizzlies just hit a bunch of lucky shots the whole game, and Miami's role players couldn't keep up. Even Randolph hit a 3 in that game! :biggums: That is how lucky the Grizz were that night. :oldlol:

They're still a solid team though. They would give the Heat a lot of trouble but not more than the Spurs.

Not enough scoring, shooting. Miami have the defense but they can also get hot from 3. Memphis might make it interesting but Miami would eventually win.
