Unexpected from both of these players, but well deserved...would definitely love to see both take their teams to the next round

Lebron's been good, but he's dominating the #8 Bobcats, expected of him...Teague is dueling and getting the best of the #1 Pacers. I'd have to give it Teague, personally, Lebron is a very close 3rd tho

You don't get more credit for having lower expectations. Everyone is judged on the same scale. If Lebron were averaging what Teague is averaging vs the Pacers we'd be saying it was an epic choke.

this is because Lebron is, unfairly, held to a standard no other sports figure has had to endure...and that's mainly because he's shown he's capable of it on a consistent basis before where it's become expectation rather than succeeding expectations.

anyhoo, you still have to look at strength of the opponent between the two...an injured Jefferson on the #8 Bobcats vs a healthy #1 Pacers against a smarter Atlanta team. this isn't the regular season where there's enough sample size, but just a highlight to how well some have shined in the spotlight, again, thus far

Blake is a tie with Lebron for 3rd, now that you think of it...not a bad thought for any of these top 4 players so far, I just personally think for the defeinition of "most valuable player" it is LMA and Teague, respectively

Because no team in the east would be dominating without Lebron against the Bobcats?

LMAO. The Pacers are just playing terrible basketball. The Bobcats would beat both the Pacers and Hawks in a best of 7 series. Al Jefferson scored 40 points and grabbed 20 rebounds vs. Hibbert and the Pacers a couple of weeks ago.

Westbrook has been just as good as Durant IMO. In fact, he's arguably been the better player, putting up like 27-9-7 on around 55% shooting against Clippers. Bron has clearly been the best player so far, although the competition he's faced has certainly helped.

BoutPractice

Won't argue that Westbrook is one of the players who's benefitted the most from these playoffs so far, showing just how dominant he can be all-around. But Durant is still averaging 31, 9 and 4, and has been on a tear since he received the MVP. Ultimately the Thunder win close games when they can get the ball to Durant as opposed to relying on Westbrook creating opportunities for himself. Westbrook gambling for drives and pullups in the clutch is still a big problem for OKC. The adrenaline makes some people too passive, but it makes Westbrook too aggressive, he still has a tendency to rush his decisions.

Absolutely not saying that Westbrook is as good as Durant or all that close over a big sample size, just that his play so far has been as good as Durant. I think it's fair to say that Durant has slightly underperformed this playoffs (which shows how good he is) and Westbrook, although shooting poorly at times with the usual questionable decision making, has been great all round. As the playoffs progress, I fully expect Durant to separate himself from everyone else apart from Bron, provided they get past Clippers of course.

Durant redeemed himself against Memphis in game 6 and 7 emphatically. He's played well against the Clippers, but getting bothered by Chris Paul should absolutely not happen.

Diaw is criminally underrated.
dude is a complete beast because of his skill and because hes so fat. he can guard players who are to slow to drive by him and hes so creative on offense you never know what thisfrench fegget will pull out of his fat ass

Maybe the most underrated in the league.

Durant played better much of the year and is deserving of MVP, but I was always wondering if LeBron was coasting.
