Need Help with a Computer problem

So , my Laptop has been acting strange. I can no longer go on Google Chrome or any other program that requires connecting the internet besides Firefox which im using currently , it has something to do with my proxy server or something and i've looked at videos and I dont know what to do. I really need to know because I am going to buy a game for PC that requires me to be online and I cant because my stupid internet wont let me connect to it. can anyone help

So , I looked up Youtube vid's on how to fix this and it says I need to go LAN settings , well when i try doing this everything becomes blocked here's a screen shot

just download something to clean/repair it

download hitman pro with firefox. that will fix it.

I downloaded Hitman Pro and when it was scanning for malware etc , It need internet connection but I cannot connect to the Internet with other program ffs ... should I just format my laptop

press the "windows key + r"

when the window pops up, type cmd and hit enter

in command prompt, type

ping google.com

are you able to ping the site?
It showed me the data sent and received , but whats weird is the Hitman Pro started working now

is this your personal laptop or has it been set up for a school/workplace or anything? Do you have admin privileges? If your account doesn't do you know the local admin details for the laptop and can log in and check the proxy there?

Download malwarebytes and try that, last I recall it didn't need an internet connection to install and shouldn't need to update before scanning.

So I bought Hitman Pro and I need to activate it with a product key , when I typed it in I got this what should I do now

haven't been on a windows computer in a while so i'm doing this from memory.
go to start>control panel>system security>windows firewall
after that make sure to allow the hitman program to run (under allow a program to run). or just disable the firewall for now.

Ugh , I still cannot connect to the internet with programs/chrome and it still gives me the proxy server message.. Da f*** im getting pissed as hell , i cannot change my LAN settings because its greyed up.

I've ran into the same problem as you before but I can't remember how I fixed it. Have you tried turning off your firewall completely and trying it?

Wow it worked this way , so do I have to do this every time I wanna run the game or what because Safe mode is annoying lol.

Now that you're in on safe mode, you can try that Hitman thing on Firefox or try downloading a different software to check for viruses, malware, etc.

Once you do a clean up of your computer you can try booting it up normally to see if that resolves the issue.

I got the Hitman to work but the problems still not solved.

Well at least you're able to connect to the internet now for the time being. It'll give you a way to try other programs or do more searching for a solution.

yeah but i have been looking around alot and havent dound anything. Im legitmately thinking of formatting it
