His TS% is 53.9 which is pretty bad for a superstar. Also the raw point totals you're listing are inflated cause he's playing 46 mpg. His per 36 line is 26/7/4 on 53.9% TS compared with 30/7/5 on 63.5% TS in the regular season.

Of course his raw stats will decrease as the pace slows down in the playoffs, specifically vs a late shotclock offensive team like the Grizzlies.
But damn, 26/7/4 on 44% shooting per 36 vs Tony Allen and the Grizzlies is BAD?

4 real his "shortcomings" are the best of all time.
He was matching LBJ's production in latter's best part of the season and that part somehow shifted the momentum to LBJ's side on the MVP race.

That former troll that used to post here, MichaelCorelone accidentally pointed out that Durants playoff averages last year when he "choked" are right in line (actually better than) with LeBrons playoff career averages :oldlol: :oldlol:
It's badass to see him get held to such high standards though. Last person held to these standards was Kobe, and before him, MJ.

Scott Brooks really is to KD like Doug Collins was to Michael Jordan. His shit star reliant coaching (starting two guys who are each lucky to score 5PPG...) and the amount he depends on KD to bail him out is creating a ****ing monster that the rest of the league is gonna have to deal with for a long while.
KD can score 40 and if his team loses by 1 with the rest of his supporting cast vanishing, it's "Durant needs to do more." LeBron can score 25 with the rest of his supporting cast playing mediocre and it's "Miami Cavaliers!!!"
I love it.

Lebron averaged 39/8/8 against Orlando the year he won his first MVP, but people still called it a choke when he lost, and that was in the ECF.
Why would Durant get a pass for losing in the first round ?

As i said before 53.8% ts is not good.
Yea, but it's not horrible at all.
Kobe's career TS% in the playoffs is 54.1%...
The problem with Durant is not his scoring efficiency so far overall in the series....it was in game 3, but overall it's fine. Not good, but not terrible.
Now, in order to win in the playoffs, especially against a quality team like Memphis, Durant has to be better.
Also, playing straight up iso ball with WB and not playing any semblance of team ball inflates his stats...he should be doing more to make his teammates better...same thing with WB. This is where Brooks really just sucks...they don't do anything to ever get great shots for their teammates consistently. the only good shit they do on offense outside of just iso Durant/WB (which is good and it works because they are so good) is get Ibaka his open jumper. Outside of that they do nothing well offensively really...

The biggest problem is comparing KD to Lebron people would not rip on KD as much if the trolls and KD fans did not try to anoint KD as the best player when he clearly is not as good or diverse a player as Lebron. KD is very good and a great scorer but Lebron is still the the king of the nba and one of the most unique players to ever lace em up.

KD has a wet jumper. This season (RS) of his is going to end up in the top 20. Dude has been unreal. That being said, his jumper has gone to shit. He's missing shots he makes in his sleep. His FT shooting? FT's were like layups/dunks. He's only shooting 78% now. He's definitely playing a really good team, but that doesn't explain him missing shots that he made routinely during the RS and FT's as well.

The 33/9/5 isn't the problem, that much should be obvious. This:
His TS% is 53.9 which is pretty bad for a superstar.
is. If you're not scoring at a solid efficiency, you have to either try and score differently, or reduce your volume and get your teammates more involved.
Memphis isn't some shit team and the overscreening/too much isolation ball is a big indictment on Brooks (especially since he's been with this core for so long). But KD/WB have to take some of the blame here.
