Current Miami isn't more hated but I'd accept the 2011 Miami Heat as an answer only because they were more well known and relevant.

People don't hate the team. They hate their racist, idiotic owner who was stupid enough not to keep his opinions to himself. You can't hate a team that has been almost entirely irrelevant up until 2 years ago. They made the playoffs in 1976 and didn't make it again until 1992. They made it back to back seasons and then not again for another 4 years. They then went another 9 years without an appearance. After 2006, they went another 6 years without making it. This is the 3rd year in a row making the playoffs and still haven't been past the second round. That doesn't exactly scream envy.

Perosnally as an NBA fan, I have always hated the clippers.

From their lame name, lame logo, lame jersey design, lame drafting, their historical addiction to bottom dwelling in the standings.

I always knew sterling was a jerk. From his explicit instructions to stat keepers to lower his own players' home game stats (to decrease FA/trade value), to heckling baron davis, to his overall stinginess w/ in the organization...

This "racism" incident is the cherry on top, the straw that broke the camel's back, the third strike...

The clippers had few fans compared to their purple and gold counter parts. Those who go to clippers couldn't get tickets to Lakers games. Those who go to clippers game want to see the road teams/players. Only bill Crystal is a clips fan.

Overall the Los Angeles Clippers are the lamest of all team sports, not just in the nba, not just in the country, but in the world.

I don't get this. If you really think this (latest) problem with Sterling (seriously, this isn't even close to the worst/most racist thing Sterling has done), wouldn't it be better for the Clippers to advance further. The second they're eliminated this becomes a non issue, just like every other time Sterling has made some idiotic, racist statement. The more the Clippers win, the more detested the players become with the situation, the more light from the media is going to be shined on it, the more likely it is that the NBA has to do something about it. And before you say that it'll be hurting Sterling financially, this is an owner who has had no problem in the past about trotting out ridiculous subpar rosters. He's already making a profit on this season and his general interest level in the Clippers really couldn't be lower.
