He's all over KD. This is over. No matter how many points KD score this playoff, the mental breakdown of KD this season will go down worse than bran's 2011 final loss. :facepalm

Not of putbacks tho. If he had been less of a ***** he would have got it right when he stole it cuz Zbo cleared them out.

Remember 08. Lebron went 2/18, 10 turnovers against the Celtics with Allen. That showed how good Kobe was .

For the series, but certainly not the season. The difference between Griz with and without Marc Gasol shows who the real heart and soul of the team is.

Serious question: Is Tony Allen the greatest guard defender of alltime???

There are many small forward and up players that are more elite when it comes to defense (GOAT defender to me is Rodman). There are only a handful of great guard defenders. Payton, Jordan, Dumars, Kidd, etc... Ever since the celtic days I thought Allen was one of the leagues best defenders.

The man can lock up players from 1-3 and is the leagues best defender against durant which is ridiculous due to the fact that Durant has about 5 inches on the guy. He can get through screens better than any player and seems to anticipate what the player wants to do better than any other player

No.

Who is in your top 3??? Or better yet who is clearly a cut above him in your eyes and why?

I'm not a knee jerk reaction kinda poster. This question didn't come about because of this series. What this series did was help me to solidify these thoughts I flirted with for awhile.

There are two types of great defenders. 1) aggressors- these guys stay glued to the hip of their opponent and don't give them room to do what they want, ala Bruce bowen

2) anticipating players- these players are great at angles, proper stance, and anticipating what the player wants to do. Basically they are super smart defenders ala Shane batter, Jason kidd.

It's rare when you find a defender equally gifted with aggression and smarts
