View Full Version : The elephant in the room when it comes to LeBron vs. Kobe Durant

dannysc305

Head to head record. LeBron is 10-3 vs Durant (4-1 in the NBA Finals where he sent KD crying back to his mama), 13-6 vs Kobe. It's the irrefutable inevitable truth Kobe/KD stans keep dodging because they know this truth hurts. It's the elephant in the room nobody wants to notice. There's no convincing me there's a better metric to compare than the Mano y Mano record, other than perhaps the individual stats of each H2H matchup which sounds like a ton of research.

Suck it DuBeta and KoBrick stans.

EDIT: H2H isn't the end all be all when it comes to comparisons... but the H2H record and stats still hold some meaningful value. Credit to MastaKilla and RussWest for the enlightenment.

Its also that LeBron is just plain better than both of them and will go down in history as the second best (or even 1a best) non-center to ever play the game.

Can you post the stats for the players during those games?

the only mano a mano i remember 34 year old kobe took prime bran in the asg :applause:

Kobe always raises his defensive intensity during the All Star game. Good for him, that's when things get real. The GOAT defender in the All Star game. If only the other players didn't lower their intensity.

you can tell kobe haunts these guys souls these days... must be the fact they're accepting brans few chips are pretty much undeserved gifts while kobes 09-10 cast has been exposed to death

A heat fan I can respect.

Why is this so hard to admit? Anytime I make a mistake in logic and get called on it I admit it and move on instead of running with it and making an even bigger joke of myself.

Durant is currently the better player and if he wants to surpass LeBron on the all time lists he needs to win a championship this year.

LeBron has beat a 50 win team in the playoffs just four times. If Durant wins the championship this year he'll beat four 50 win teams in one championship run alone. Not to mention doing this all while being the first player in over a decade to play over 3000 minutes and win the championship. Along with being on the team that drafted him and just 25 years old...

No doubt a chip this year secures Durants spot over LeBron on the all time lists. Doesn't take anything away from LeBron though, still a good player in his own right.

Remember when D Wade desperately tried to "save" LeBron in the 2011 Finals and failed?

OKC winning last night only shows how adaptive Durant is a player that he can completely play off ball and still have a big impact while helping secure the W. Meanwhile LeBron in 2011 had to dominate the ball at the top of the key only to wear the shotclock down to pass to a double teamed Chalmers.... :facepalm

:facepalm no... lebron in the 2011 finals showed how big of an impact he has on the game. if lebron isnt playing well the heat have no chance.

durant plays terrible this whole post season and he gets saved by westbrook and jackson :oldlol:
