View Full Version : The Official move the Clippers to Seattle thread

First off, don't feel sad for Clipper fans - they can always cheer for a superior team in the Lakers. There's no reason for two teams in the same city to be sharing a building, it's pathetic and the Clippers look like losers for it. Never able to get out of big brother's shadow.

Now that this Sterling stuff has come to light (it's always been there, I don't know why this is the tipping point), it signals time to move away from this crap franchise. The Clippers have never accomplished anything, and are the skid mark of the NBA.

Seattle is screaming for a team, and they have an amazing group of investors. It makes too much sense to move the Clippers to Seattle. This gives the Lakers more incentive to get a competitive team back on the floor, which is great for the NBA - and I'm a lifelong Celtic fan.

Highlights of the Clippers franchise:
-Having Dr Jack as a coach
-Moving from Buffalo to San Diego
-One season of playoff basketball with Elton Brand
-Making the second round with Vinny Del Negro

And that's it. Move them to Seattle and take back the Sonics history

Seattle DOES need a team :applause:

The Clippers seem like the best choice for a team to move.

I hope so. Change the name to the Sonics too. LA doesn't need two teams and what happened to Seattle was a shame. Someone strong arm Sterling into selling.

That would be tough. The Sonics were my second favorite team growing up, and the Clippers were probably my least favorite, lol (I did like Danny Manning though).

Whatever, Seattle deserves another team regardless of where they come from.

Will Miami fans support theirs when Bran leaves?

So just when the Clippers are finally looking like they could do something in the playoffs, you want to force their relocation simply because their owner was recorded saying something racist in a private conversation?

**** off with that bs. What about poor old Billy Crystal?

why would sterling move his team to seattle? he won't make any money there, idiots in la would go to clipper games and buy tickets no matter how shitty the team is

No he will not move the team to Seattle. The point of this wishful thinking thread is an official countdown of him being forced to sell the team to a group (Seattle's Chris Hansen, Steve ballmer etc...) And move it to Seattle where the NBA has been unfairly taken away.

Well Seattle is not a big market city, Clippers wont be as attractive to Free agents if they move to Seattle. Better just sell them to someone else in LA whos interested in buying the team.

While we have our tin-foil hats on, could be some Laker/Dodger people who want the clips out of LA. And how convenient that Seattle wants a team again.

So you move a team that has been profitable while they were mediocre when they are more relevant and successful now, while teams that are mediocre and probably in the red, remain?

Smart business man here. Should definitely be a CFO/CEO

Speaking of which, Calabro is doing the Clippers game in ESPN radio.

I don't get why LA needs two basketball teams, especially when one is the Lakers. As for Seattle, I'd much rather live there than LA any day. LA is like at the bottom of where I'd want to live, even below Miami.

He wouldn't be moving the team. Hopefully he is forced to sell to Chris Hansen, and then the team can move to Seattle. No one cares about the Clippers history anyway. I always thought they should move back to San Diego. LA doesn't need two teams, the Clippers are such a laughing stock team.

Seattle is the 13th largest market and Los Angeles doesn't need 2 teams (4 in all of California).

And Seattle native Chris Hansen (hedge fund manager as credential) would totally buy the clips to move them to Seattle. He already tried w/ the sac kings.

On a completely different note, Jeff needs to make this an official emoticon on ISH. That is all.
