Your image is really not entirely accurate. There were a few nice small towns, but the big cities left a lot to be desired. I know a lot people don't associate Nordic countries with ghettos, but there were a few filthy areas and a lot of immigrants who were rather rude and obnoxious. Many of the swedish themselves had this same attitude. I visited during the mid-2000s, so there were a lot of people who took personal offense to my group of friends(mostly americans)and basically bitched nonstop about the USA for the war on terrorism as if they thought we were high ranking politicians in charge of that stuff. We didn't go out of our way to bother people or be overly patriotic or anything, they pretty much initiated everything.

Keep in mind, I didn't even find Parisians to be as obnoxious or hostile.

But yes, Italy has it's fair share of beggars and gypsies. However i can't imagine a dinner without bread, cheese, and cured meats. You aren't gonna find big pieces of meat with every meal like we have here. A little seafood, some sausage maybe, a cutlet here and there, etc. is what you are gonna get.

Service in general over there is bad. Doesn't matter if its food, medical, construction, f*ck it's gonna be bad. My family is from the equivalent of alabama over there though so it could just be a regional thing.

I went to the Italian lakes many years ago and I loved the food and the people there. That being said Rome was full of beggars and the nightlife wasn't great. I was a tourist though so I'm sure if given the time I could have found some decent clubs.

I was just in Vegas last weekend and I thought it was a bit overrated. Had a ton of fun but not anything close to its reputation. Me and my roommate went and he got the stomach flu after the first night so I was kind of forced to fly solo (his sister and her friend were there tho) which is probably why it felt like a bit of a let down.

He doesn't do anything risky. The only decent acting role I've seen him in was Ali. He often plays the same characters in each of his films or with a very slight variation between them. He also turned down Django because he was worried about his public image. He's an actor not a politician.

He's overrated, that's not to say I don't like him because I do. I grew up in the late 80/90's. But I judge him on his acting not his personality. That's why I can say Mel Gibson, Sean Penn and Russell Crowe are good actors despite being known as shitty people.

You have to have a lot of money to get a good Vegas effect... There are some truly amazing shows there, the Cirque due Soleil with giant rotating floor is better than anything I have ever seen, it makes New York Broadway shows look like your child's school play.

If you go to Vegas with just $500 to blow you are super limited, that city's experience is all about money.



If you were solo you should have taken a cab to Spearmint Rhino...I did that alone one night in Vegas and it was fckin awesome.

We took a ride on the new Ferris Wheel (The Highroller) which is the biggest in the world. Saw the Cirque show O at the Bellagio which was awesome. My friend's cousin is friends with a comic who opened for Andrew Dice Clay so we got free VIP and drinks for that (show ****ing sucked tho that dude is horrible). Overall it was probably better than I'm letting on. I hung out with his sister and her friend a ton and they were cool so we had a good time.

Gambled all day Friday, club scene Friday night, shows on Saturday, pool and attractions on Sunday plus Voodoo at the Rio. I'll probably do it again with a couple friends and it will be better. My roommate had the stomach flu and I was sick with a sore throat all week so it wasn't ideal. Friday was probably the best...it was the drunkest I've ever been without blacking out which leads me to believe that they really do pump oxygen into the casinos lol.

the whole thing takes place on a giant rotating floor, and the balconies and bridges that are above the seats...people are flipping all around you.

I think it has origins in our history. The British had a love for Sugar Cane which became popular with the upper class. Important figures who met other world leaders would often have a set of awful rotten teeth.

Despite dental being covered on the NHS until you're 19 it doesn't mean shit if you don't go and get your teeth fixed and treated. For me a bad set of teeth is an instant turn off. No way I'm kissing a girl who has bad teeth.

I think Vegas would be more fun if you go when you're 21. I went for the first time at 30 and was like "meh".

Or, I guess if you know the right people and can get into the right parties...
If you don't have a lot of money I think the key to Vegas is going in a big group that has hot chicks. I went for spring break and it was suppose to be 11 of us (6girls 5guys) but 3 guys bailed. So it was just 2 guys and 6 girls and we were able to get onto the guest list at 1oak and hakkasan night club. And the encore beach and wet republic(some of the top pool parties). Everything was free :bowdown: having those hoes around saved me hundreds on cover charges. Was able to spend that money on gambling and good food.

I went with just my boys before that and I blew a lot more cash and had less fun.

So BRING HOES!!!! Only downside is that your kind of a chaperone for a bunch of girls.
