I'm nowhere near a fan of this guy's game but he played his ass off tonight with Matthews all over him. FOUR guys on the Blazers scored 20 on good %s. Why is he responsible for the loss?

I hate to put it on one person but if you must have a scapegoat, Lin allowed OT and Parsons dumb play gave Portland a cushion

Because he might have been responsible for 3 of those Blazers scoring 20 plus points...:confusedshrug:

What? Haren got blown by at least a dozen times. He gave up more points than he scored.

His body language is disgusting. Dude plays like a quitter when McHale told him to feed Dwight, he didn't run back on D like a big baby. Tired of this guy's attitude. The day he changes that and the day he becomes 100% committed to winning is the day he will become likeable again... till then, fck Harden

you can't be paid superstar money and not get criticized when you lose. almost every superstar is criticized hard for losing. lebron, kobe, melo, etc. so unless he wants to go back to being a third option on a team then yea.

Played his ass off? On offense maybe. Defensively, the Blazers attacked him throughout the game, and it worked perfectly. It's unreal how much of a liability he is on that end of the court, and a lot of it stems from a complete lack of effort. How times did he just let somebody blow by him in transition tonight?

Bless Mathews

Its disgusting watching him play defense. Fundamentally he is woeful, his defensive stance is to upright and he never moves his feet well which just allows players to blow past him with no effort.

Harden was okay today, but he's awful on D (he literally pulled a matador at one point in the 4th), and his shooting percentage in this series is just...Oofah.

I can agree with this statement, Harden wanted to have his own team..he wanted to get paid like a superstar so he should play up to expectations. Although a lot of the criticism is quite harsh, some of it is well deserved

How many ****ing times do we need to we have to have this discussion? His offense, which was nothing spectacular tonight, wasn't even CLOSE to compensating for his absolutely pathetic defense.

The dude sucks, period.

Harden played well on offense today, but Portland abused his shit defense. Blazers went at him intentionally, and Matthews and Batum blew right by him every time they wanted.

Houston just accept Harden was manufactured by the same people who brought you Paul George.

He and Howard will never win you a ring or even a finals appearance

His best game of the series so far, and still far from what you would call a great performance.

In any case, konex started this thread so expect Harden to lay a massive egg in game 5, something like 6-24, 6 turnovers with key mistakes down the stretch or just straight up quitting in a blowout.

He plays hard offensively. And there are a lot of superstars that get their rest on D. But I can't agree that he "played his ass off" when he's taking breaks defensively. There was one fast break late in regulation when he was even called out by one of the announcers for letting someone, might have been Batum, go by him with no resistance on a fast break. Loss isn't all on Harden, just saying that his effort on D is poor. Even the scorers that take it easy on D most of the game turn it up in that situation.

Lin choked big time from what i watched. Blazers won this game more than the Rockets lost it tho, give them credit.
