View Full Version : Can Portland stop Mavs from wining the ring?

Blazers look strong at the moment and Mavs will possibly need to play 3 more games vs this ridiculus carrying Manu. So after those tough series ( in terms of fatigue at least) , with Dirk/marion/VC at their late 30s , calderon who is not 100% reliable vs the good Portland perimeter defends and last but not least, the questionable Post defense of Mavs, the future seems even tougher. Rick has to figure a way to use his big men efficient, else Aldridge will just destroy the paint and put 50/20. Blair has to rebound a lot , Dalambert and Wright have to defend and Dirk has to focus his energy on wining the offensive battles.

But even if anything won't work in Ellis we trust

This. And even if they do, they are not beating Portland.

It's gonna be hard but I believe that they can do it. The team has so much experience, skill and clutch that they can win anyone. Even those young , athletic dominant blazers. Dont make me post the gif again Ellis>lilard. Question is will the big men make Aldridge's life just a little bit hard, so he won't put 50 points and 20 rebounds?

Dude i know it's hard to accept the thing that Mavericks have been lucky so far and they should be grateful that series are even but you have to deal with it

As much as I like Manu, Pop and spur's organization, this is the last chance for Ellis to win a ring (unless he joins Lakers) before the LA empire rise. He knows that and 38 years old Duncan won't stop him.

if mavs win vs sas, they will absolutely destroy the blazers... worst 50 win team of all time.

im hoping rockets dont make a comeback.

You must be one of the few people in the world (besides him and his family) concerned about Monta Ellis winning a ring.

I pray to our lord and savior Jesus every day for 3 things. My family, my country and for Monta to win a ring.

I want to see Calderon/VC/Devin Harris trying to score/call plays while lillard, Matthews and Batum are guarding them. I also want see who's going to guard Aldridge. Mavs have more experience and more depth. But if they don't play smart and they don't use their big men efficiently, Ellis will retire ringless.

He lost a battle , the war is still going. The only thing you can't deny for him is that he is clutch in the longrun. He won't choke or dissapear at 4th quarter like the other betas/Kardashians of the NBA.

Aldridge already loves playing in Dallas. They don't have Tyson Chandler anymore. Dalembert is good on Aldridge but I think LMA will average 35 PPG in a series vs Dallas. He loves playing them, it's his favorite team.

35 from aldridge and even 20 from lilard are not enough. The bench is shit. They need a 50/20 Aldridge with 20+/10+ lilard and Batum with a least 12-15 points. And at the same time we assume that they will play good defense, because 6 players from Mavs has potential for 20+ points.

I don't think that the Mavs would beat the Blazers, but I could be wrong, I thought the Blazers vs Rockets series would be Rockets in 6, and Blazers have a chance to do it in 5 so you never know.

But...you get that the Spurs are back to being huge favorites to win the series...right?

Hell, they were still -180 to win the series last night going into the game.

If the Mavs end up winning against the Spurs, I definitely like the Blazer's chances against them. Mavs have more depth, but the Blazers have more dynamic players.

LMA > Dirk as of now
Lillard > Ellis
Batum > Marion
Lopez > Dalembert

etc
