i took a transportation design class at an art institute when i was around 17. Always been kind of a fantasy job for me, designing cars.

But man oh man, the competition you face is unbelievable. The workload is nuts too.


I do know a guy who works for a company that designs and manufactures custom body kits and they do everything in autocad.

i did model it in a cad software but i didnt design it. had to model it from a customers drawings and it took forever and a real bitch. yes it does look like the old school domestic cars but i think it has some modern styling to it. its going to be used as a kit car.

i think you need to convince the customer to put some flip up headlights on that b*tch and go all the way with it. Make it look like an 80's concept car.
