All-Star ring, other items stolen from Paul George's home

Updated: Apr 29, 2014 10:35 AM
By WTHR Channel 13 - email
INDIANAPOLIS - The Geist-area home of Pacers player Paul George was burglarized overnight, with nearly $16,000 worth of property stolen, Indianapolis Metro Police say.

The Pacers were playing a home game in Indianapolis Monday night. It appears that after losing 107-97 to the Atlanta Hawks in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Playoffs, George discovered that burglars had made off with his 2014 Platinum All-Star ring with several diamonds. The ring is valued at $15,000.

Also missing were Jordan 4 Toro tennis shoes and a watch.

As if they needed any other distractions...

Probably some Indy Klan members upset about the loss.

I bet they broke into the house...

"George discovered that burglars had made off with his 2014 Platinum All-Star ring with several diamonds."

specifically to steal this, as a message, that he is in fact, not an all-star.

Whats crazy is that Geist is a very secure area for the wealthy. Gated homes, security systems, neighborhood watch, etc, etc...It must have been an inside job or a professional burglar, not some rookie..

dude needs to go into godmode and get all of these people who slighted him back. Otherwise, he's just getting kicked around.

That's funny tho... while you are getting your ass beat on national TV someone goes to your house and steals your all star ring. Some movie shit.

He's also been branded as "PG," the most lifeless and generic nickname in the league...kinda like his game right now.

Wouldn't be surprised if someone from ish did it, lol..the way some of you guys hate on certain NBA players is borderline disturbing....Hopefully this doesn't knock him off his game and hopefully he can continue to play well and maybe even step it up more in game 6....We'll probably need him to...He'll need to top his series averages so far of

22.6 ppg, 11 reb, 5 ast, 3 stls, and 1 bpg

He's probably gonna need to be up over 30 points in game 6..

Probably a 'friend' or some hoe he had staying at his place.

Police said there are no signs of forced entry at the home. George's parents said they didn't lock the door when they left the home earlier in the evening, because they didn't have a key. The home's alarm system was also not set, police said.

Inside job obviously....Thats why you can't trust everybody...

Earlier in the year, I remember him doing a local magazine spread at his house and he said he didn't care if people knew where he lived and that he liked interacting with the fans...I'm sure he'll rethink that decision...

Yup...the article even said they took $20, lol and that the watch was worth $700. Then there's the all-star ring...They didn't even take anything else which honestly screams scorned fan if his house and the area weren't so secure...The fact that there's no forced entry leads you to believe that it was somebody he knew, like you said...

But thats why I'm glad he's still playing well in this series...He's far and away the best Pacer in this series which is kind've remarkable considering all the off court distractions...Seemingly the entire world is against him at every news story...He brought most of it on himself though, Ill admit that...

He's had some year..

Dro
04-29-2014, 04:11 PM
The fact that his door was unlocked sounds like someone, a "friend" perhaps came by and didn't know he was gone.....It happened between 7pm and 11pm. Hard to believe that anybody with a pulse did not know he had a game that night and that he wouldn't be there...Thats why it sounds like it good be some female "friend" who came by, saw the door was unlocked and went in, but then why would she take an all-star ring? So, I'm guessing it was a guy "friend" who came by and went on in when noticed the door was unlocked...

The only other thing I can think of is that his parents would be in on it which of course I don't believe .000001%
