Game 1 warrior.

He's great in game 1's. No pressure. He's pretty good in game 2s too. But as the games start to really matter, he disappears. People act like I'm just making this up, but it's true.

KD = game 1 warrior.

Every post in this thread is ignored.

So, I'll say what everyone would:

Memphis could beat any Eastern conference team in a 7 game series.

A great player going through a bad stretch.

Athletes now have some of the most unrealistic and lofty standards ever. KD surely doesn't get the grunt of it like Lebron does, but after this series is over, and they most likely lose, it'll mount up some more.

This is the second poor series of his career. It happens.
People need to realize that none of these players are invincible. MJ wasn't, Bird wasn't, nor were Magic or even Wilt.

71.8 percent dow

Bad series is one thing. Free throwin bricks for a 90% shooter is another.

Memphis would beat the Heat if they met in the finals, 100%. No contest.

Miami match up pretty well with the Memphis Grizzlies. Lebron dropped 37 points vs. Tony Allen last game. I'd take the Heat in 6.

People keep talking about Tony Allen as if he's a factor for LeBron. If anything, he'd cover Wade. Allen doesn't get matched up against LeBron because Bron scores too easily against him w/ his size advantage. They only played Allen for 16 minutes and 24 minutes the two games this season, and Allen wasn't even covering james for a lot of those minutes. He's an offensive liability, and can't contain LeBron enough. Against Durant here, he's averaging 33 MPG because he's a huge factor.

:oldlol: Apart from pounding the boards, Memphis would have no hope against Miami. Since his 2011 rebirth Lebron has shown that he will always find a way, whereas Durant has shown he will always find a way to choke it up.

Why does another thread have to be derailed with some crap about Heat and Bron? We don't have to always include them in a discussion about Durant's choking, which is clearly apparent in this inexplicable FT% drop.

The reason they go on droughts against OKC is because OKC is long and has guys that could bother their bigs for little spurts at a time. You countin on Bosh and Birdman and Udonis lockin up their bigs? Memphis would be a tough matchup for most teams in the playoffs, they are grinders and battlers in the trenches + they have Tony Allen who is the ultimate playoff overachiever.

Memphis struggles to score period. This is part of the reason why many said they should've never let Rudy Gay go. Grizzlies in many ways are the Bulls of the West.

Brooks should hire Durant's mom as his assistant and just have her hug her boy on timeouts and situations like this.

This would be the equivalent of someone who usually shoots 75% suddenly dropping to 56% in a playoff series.

He's obviously having his confidence shaken.

Not only is that a ludicrous assertion, it also has nothing to do with why a 90% FT shooter is shooting 71% from the stripe when it matters most.

Are the Grizzlies playing such good defense that it extends to the FT line as well or something?
