Westbrook averaged 17 shots on the season to KD's 21 shots this season..KD has been great this season with and without westbrook in the line up...He's been great in westbrook good games and great in his bad games... westbrook has averaged 7 assists a game this season in 30 minutes a game...can't do that without passing.... He hasnt stopped KD from getting shots nor the ball at any point in this season, all off a sudden it's westbrooks fault that durant has showed no heart and desire and is shying away from the ball?...

Westbrook isnt missing durant's shots....westbrook isn't the guy giving up on fighting through contact when denied once by his defender..westbrook isnt the guy bricking clutch freethrows, layups and shots... All i see is people counting shot attempts for westbrook without pointing to why westbrook has shot as many balls as he has shot... If KD can lead the team in points and shots the entire season why all of a sudden he's not leading in shots?.... Is it possible that all the missed shots, shying away from the ball has forced westbrook to take the role of the aggressor?... Is he supposed to sit back and do nothing while durant goes B**** mode?...If KD was making his shots and playing as aggressive as he did in the regular season westbrook wouldn't be taking as many shots...we've seen 3 OT games now in row now where westbrook has lead the charge into OT setting the table for durant to close...Durant has been choking..flat out...

I'm just glad that Oklahoma sees it... They see that 1 guy is putting it all on the line trying to win(westbrook) and the other guy is showing no heart(durant)......"Mr. Unreliable"

There is some truth to it.

The amount of bad shots Westbrook has to take because Durant cant free himself is somewhere around 5 per game. Westbrook is normally left with about 5 seconds on the clock in those situations.

Exactly..once durant gives up on fight through...OKC's offense is officially dead...no more movment..no offense to run...they have no offense...if Westbrook can't get that PnR with ibaka he needs durant to fight through to get open or else there is no more offense he left with a clock winding down and has to shoot it or attack for a layup or drive and kick to an unreliable thabo....OKC has 2 black holes in their starting lineup the drive and kick is only money if kicking to durant.....

You said it all.
People are blaming WB for something it's Brooks' fault (Stagnated offensive with ISOs as main weapon) and KD's (flat out choke)
Somebody has to take the burden and WB does it. He makes, he misses but he's the only one trying.

If Westbrook got permission to just break every single time, like Lawson has in Denver, he would probably average 30 and 10.

If this Thunder team played like Denver, Memphis legs would be shot right now and they'd be up in the series. Marc and Z-Bo can't beat Durant/Ibaka up the court and they certainly can't cover jumpers.

That's the thing though.Memphis are denying them the opportunity to run. They know their disadvantage and keep the game at their slow tempo. That's the hole point

Meh, not to take merit away from Memphis but OKC hasn't been a running team the last 2 years. They slow down way too much for a team that struggles so mightily on the half court.

Their defense is not as good as years before either, they've got torched on many occasions this year. Of course Sefolosha and Perkins were out but that goes to show you who the real leaders of that defense are.

they are both playing bad, why does it have to be someone elses fault? Just because people are pointing out his HISTORICALLY bad shooting performance, that makes him a scapegoat? no he is just one of the many reasons the thunder are sucking.

the facts are that kd is playing bad, westbrook is playing bad, and scott brooks is a bad coach. all of these things are causing them to lose, but everyone has to take responsibility for themselves.

westbrook isnt the guy bricking clutch freethrows, layups and shots...

maybe not freethrows, but hes doing a nice job bricking everything else

he's scored 1 point in 4 OT periods. And he's taken 14 shots.

I love Westbrook but he deserves a lot of the blame as well.
31 shots... that's like prime Iverson on a team full of defensive players.

westbrook does contribute a lot to the losses. His stupid decision making along with the terrible shots of pull up 3s and weird off balance fadeaways just destroy the teams momentum. He just goes too crazy along with his defense where he tries to pick up steals.

He deserves criticism for not having better chemistry with Durant.

That's the only thing that annoys me with him. He doesn't make the 'right' play often enough.

There is truth to that whole 'OKC doesn't have a true playmaker without Harden' stigma. You need to feed Durant those open dunks. When he gets a little bit of space someone needs to recognize that and get him the ball immediately. But it doesn't ever happen... or it happens too late. And that's the whole chemistry thing that perplexes me. How on Earth doesn't Scott make this a main priority when they watch film?

It should always be Durant first. He's our Shaq. If he has space in the lane GET HIM THE BALL NO MATTER WHAT. Sometimes one open dunk is enough for him to get in the zone. Then the floodgates open up.

It's obvious we need Durant to be the main guy to win anything. It's just frustrating to watch the inability of his teammates to recognize when he's open with momentum towards the basket. It will either result in a basket or two FT's every single time. But they never see it and Durant is forced to get the bulk of his points through ISO situations. It's a ****ing tragedy to watch.

They both suck right now, they are the teams big stars so they both need to own it, and the coach.

I say trade Westbrook because you do not trade Durant. Imagine this OKC team with Conley running the point and Gasol at centre instead of Perk, Westbrook still has mad value, they could get some good pieces back for him and a gunning point guard with durant is stupid. Westbrook wants to be the man, ship his ass out and let him be that on a team he actually is the best player.

durant hasnt been the same since westbrook came back. Hes inconsistent and the team is losing from being the 1st seed to almost 3rd seed. And thats what a cancer can do to you. And the greatest impact westbrook has is on the role players. Jackson and ibaka is nowhere to be found and lamb is not even playing. Basketball is a rhythm game and if you have 2 players chucking, chances are others wont have the chance to get hot. Plus it gives role players no motivation to play defense if they dont have touches.

Scoring pgs are the most cancerous players. Thats why iverson, arenas, harden, marbury and oscar robertson are considered cancers by their teammates.

westbrooks impact on durant is like hardens impact on lin. Both plays well if these cancers are out

everytime the Thunder start to lose it's always Westbrook's chucking but whenever they win it's because of Durant.

I suggest you just stop listening to dumbass announcers, they've spent half the damn broadcasting talking about some meaningless newspaper's headline.. i'm about to mute the damn game.

because it coincides with the thunder losing the 1st seed with westbrook coming back. Infact they almost give up the 2nd seed too
