wut? yes teams have come back from down 3-1.... and i dont know why you say they must have won game 1?

The 2003 Pistons came back from down 3-1 against the Magic. However they didnt win game 1, which i dont know what you even mean by that... why is that relevant?

If you are asking what I assume...it happens.

The Rockets came back from 1-3 to beat the Suns in 95 and the Suns came back to beat the Lakers in 07. Those arent the only two either.

They won one game not game one, meaning a team must has won a game before losing a total of 3, so the team isn't coming back from a sweep

but the 03 pistons didnt win game 1, doesnt fit his wierd criteria
I didn't even look at the OP. Thought he just meant were down 3-1 at some point and then won the series. Then it's just '68 Celtics & '06 Suns, then.

Yes. I don't think a team has ever come back from being down 0-3, though.

In the 2002-03 season, McGrady won his first scoring title and, with averages of 32.1 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game, became one of seven players in NBA history to achieve a 30 PER in a single season.[4][17] In the playoffs, McGrady made headlines when he prematurely assumed that Orlando were guaranteed to advance to the second round after establishing a 3-1 lead over the Detroit Pistons, replying in an interview, "It feels good to get in the second round."[18] Despite holding the series lead, the Magic lost the series in seven games.[19]

Wouldn't be surprised if the Rockets come back. All the games have been tight and they've already won in the Rose Garden. They can do it again despite it being a more desperate situation.

FYI...its was 06 when the Suns came back.

To the OP, it happens, but it's very very rare. And it usually takes a team being clearly better for it to happen. Like the 06 Suns and 03 Pistons...

Comes as no surprise that Wilt was apart of losing a 3-1 lead with HCA.

Uh, no, you're a liar. Kobe did not have home court advantage. It was a damn miracle they went up 3-1 in that series as it is. So, shut your stupid mouth.

Spurs almost did it in 2006 against the Mavs, but couldn't hold out in OT of Game 7.

Yes, but it is rare. Not worth getting your hopes up until there is a game 7.

Yea, that would have been one where the better team came back to win. Usually the better team doesn't get down 3-1 though...if the favorites did like that...then I'd think it would happen more because you get two games at home out of the 3 needed.

I disagree, respectfully. Think the Mavs were better and they proved it. Diop defended Duncan excellently in OT of Game 7, Devin Harris had a great series (out Parker'd Tony Parker in some games), as did Jet and Howard. And that's not even mentioning Dirk. Mavs were deep. Teams were even but Dallas proved themselves better. Manu and coach pop both made costly mistakes (Pop got seduced into going small, putting Finley at PF at times). Only thing I didn't like about that series were some bogus calls, Duncan fouling out when Dirk tripped on his foot, Dirk getting D-Wade type FT's in one of the games (24 FTA's to the Spurs 32 FTA's)... But yeah, great series in which SAS battled back.

Of course, the Suns did that a while ago. The real question is, has a team ever come back down 3-1 in NBA finals?
