Vince gets higher on his dunks, both guys always seemed to come with a monster dunk out of nowhere in games.
Carter's dunk contest >>> anything doe to be honest :(

Is there a stat that shows how many dunks per game a player has?
Would love to see young Carter's DPG

Carter is definitely the GOAT dunker...No matter how much I love MJ's in-game facials, Dominiques posters and others...no one is TOUCHING VC as far as in-game dunking/posters goes...

I love the flair on Kobe's dunks too but he's not top 5...
In no order, except Vince being #1...
1. Vince
MJ
Nique
Dr. J
Jason Richardson
Kemp
Then I MAY consider taking Kobe....I'm still probably leaving out some people...

It's pretty amazing how many memorable dunks Kobe has despite not having as high a vert as some other guys.

That's one of my absolute favorite Kobe dunks. It was Oldbe playing on one knee, so nobody really expected that.
But yeah, VC is the undisputed dunk king. It's not even close.

Lebron, wtf?

Jordan had the most heart/soul breaking in game dunks

Lebron is one of the great alley oop finishers of all time, but other than that, he pretty much does the same dunk every time. He lacks creativity.

Iggy is underrated in the sense that people usually do not put him with the other great dunkers.

That is the most powerful windmill of all time and I'd love to be proven wrong. Look at how far and high the ball bounces back. Most people can't do a tomahawk with that much power, let alone a windmill.

Iggy got ROBBED in the 06 dunk contest. The only reason Robinson won is because he's short. It was just as rigged as the infamous Kia dunk contest.

VC Goat no doubt. Kobe is pretty high on my list, he had an amazing body control and style for a guy who was not on VC, MJ,... level when we're talking about vertical.

You can use Bball Reference and there is a dunk category under the shooting category. It lists total dunks on the season, so you can just go dunks/games.
29yo 2005-06 Vince on the Nets had 87 dunks in 79 games, 1.1 DPG
Also dunks were 6% of his total shots :applause:

I honestly was about to list him but I figured people would probably laugh...Why? I dunno because he has some of the nastiest dunk contest dunks ever and can definitely get nasty in-game...He just usually only gets to show that on breakaways and fast breaks because in half-court sets he's not always aggressive going to the basket....

He lacks flair and style, but not so much creativity. And I would say that's mostly because of his big body and his one legged takeoff compared to other great dunkers like VC, MJ, Kobe, Griffin, Richardson who are mostly jumping from two feet.
If you think about it, point out some ingame dunks you have seen from other great dunkers but not from Lebron? It's true that he mostly does his standard one arm dunk but I think he's somewhere at the top when it comes to dunks per game so of course he will not always try to do something fancy.
I've seen him do windmills with one hand or both hands, alley oop double pump reverse windmills, countless alley oops or reverse oops, all kinds of power dunks, tomahawks, left handed dunks, off the backboard, between the legs, almost from a free throw line dunk in a freaking game, poster dunks, 360,... so as you can see it's not creativity, it's style and flair which is not as beautifull compared to other great dunkers.

Dude you cannot seriously look at VC/Kemp/Kobe dunks and then look at Lebrons dunks and say Lebron is creative. He's a good dunker, and as stated earlier an all time great oop finisher. But not an all time great dunker. He just hasn't shown what VC has shown.
So glad people are acknowledging VC's superiority over that overrated hack Dr J :applause:

Maybe my understanding of some words is wrong since English is not my first language but to give you an example of what I mean by creativity. Vince Carter does windmill dunk and Lebron does windmill dunk. Vince does a 360 dunk and Lebron does a 360 dunk. But all dunks by Carter look 10 times better than Lebron's. They are both creative but Vince's style and flair in the air when dunking is so much better than Lebron's that it's not even fair to compare them.

Ok, I think I see what you are saying. LeBron does have the creativity to perform those dunks, but just not the style to make them look good as the all time great legendary dunkers.

That is the most powerful windmill of all time and I'd love to be proven wrong. Look at how far and high the ball bounces back. Most people can't do a tomahawk with that much power, let alone a windmill.I understand your reasoning for this dunk being the most popular may be the manner with which it bounced off the floor after going through the rim. I think that may have to do with him hitting the angle just right enough to limit ball/rim/net interaction more so than being infinitely more powerful than, say, something like this (which I find just as authoritative, perhaps moreso): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_ZMiCJVYz0
In the latter clip, the primary difference in ball speed after the flush is a result of Carter's swishing the net, whereas Iguadala's angle provided more of a straight shot. That's not to say Iggy's isn't more powerful, just that I do not believe the ball response alone is an accurate measure.
