Two number 8 seeds might win the first round? This is crazy.

I'd feel so bad for Duncan if they lose in the first round. Let's go Spurs!

Yes, they are.

Spurs are the only team guaranteed to win game 7, trust me I know what I am talking about. Thumb up to the Mavs for making it this hard for the Spurs, but this is as far as they go.

They still have the home court advantage, but it's gonna be the 2nd time that Team Duncan would be eliminated by an 8th seed in the first round of the playoffs.

you predicted the mavs to lose in a blowout every single game. :oldlol:

I'm quite conflicted on this one. A part of me wants to see Vince and Dirk move forward into another series. Another part of me wants the Spurs to advance because I feel they may be the better challenger.

On paper they should, the Spurs are better than the Mavericks on every position. Clearly one team is playing the best they could in this entire year, while the other is coasting so far.

Duncan should have retired after he missed his layup in Game 7 of the 2013 NBA Finals.

Lol, c'mon man. Duncan's still been incredibly productive for a 37/38-year-old.

He cares about basketball too much to retire. Way more than LeBron (though this thread is not about him).

Zero Olympic Gold Medal, 1 bronze Medal. If Duncan cares about basketball. He should have play for the US Basketball team in the 2008 Olympics. Duncan is coasting since the 2004 NBA Season. He never had a great season like his 2002 and 2003 MVP season.

It can be argued the exact opposite. Whilst Duncan played in '04, Kobe, Garnett, Shaq all declined, because they wanted to focus on the NBA.

Duncan was injured in '00, so he couldn't play.

:oldlol: at using the Olympics. Duncan's not even an American. :oldlol:

Sure, he was really coasting in all those great Playoff runs post-03. :facepalm

Nothing too wrong with that honestly...Mavs are a really good team and we are balling...

Aint no normal 8th seed when you have Carlisle and Dirk on the roster.

You think the Spurs are coasting? The Spurs never coast, Pop would never allow it. And they sure as hell would not coast on a close out game in a tough series like this.

The Mavs could have won this series already, and still might. Very underrated bunch, it's been a surprise season for them so far.

I hate dirk and the one hit wonder mavericks, but I am rooting for them to beat san antonio because i want to see a rematch of the finals.

No Tyson Chandler this time.

Lebron would just destroy Marion just like their last 6 matchups in the regular season.

Aren't you a lifelong Cavsfan?

No rematch can undo Lebron's '11 performance.

Huh? Rematch with which team? The Heat played the Mavs, Thunder and Spurs in the last three Finals, so which team?

Mavs are good but its the spurs FFS I thought the spurs would just sweep to the WCF but kudos to the mavs for putting up a great fight who honestly saw this coming.

The top 3 seeds in the west could be knocked out plus Indiana.

I don't think any1 predicted this.

Dirk & Monta have been outstanding, Sours have advantage at PG & SF, Mavs SG & PF, and they are washing at C. Last night Blair was a huge difference, Game 5 it was Splitter.

Can't wait for Game 7. Dirk and the Mavs will move on.

Yes...him carrying the Spurs with 21/4/4 61% TS in the first five games was so bad.

If they don't have the luxury of bringing a guy like that off the bench they are already at home right now.
