View Full Version : Blake Griffin is averaging like 6rpg in playoffs...

Whats wrong with his rebounding? Even Brook Lopez could grab like 7rpg when people heavily criticize his lack of rebounding skills and efforts. Blake Griffin was a capable rebounder the time he entered the league, but it seems that his rebounding skill has been declining year after year.

Deandre is doing the rebounding while BG does more scoring and assisting.

Its because DeAndre Jordan is grabbing all of them.

He's averaging more than 15 rpg in the Playoffs.

So when Brook Lopez grabs 6rpg its because he sucks at rebounding, but for Blake Griffin its DJ stealing his rebounds?

Who cares he's closing out games like a real nikka. He's busy carrying CP0 so he's not too focused on rebounding.

There are quiet a number of 7 footers that would get out rebounded by Kris Humphries given the circumstances.

Rebounding is never about height.

Paul and Jordan were better than Griffin tonight.

Did you watch the final minutes? CP0 was passing off to the likes of Reddick and Crawford. Blake got buckets and DeAndre played well too.

It's not just about the final minutes, man. Paul was dominating the whole game tonight. And a PG is supposed to get his teammates, Paul lead the league in assists per game so he has to do that. Clippers got a great collective effort tonight.

Yeah Hump is a good rebounder, probably one of few plus skills he has in the league.

OP might have a point about people bashing Lopez for his rebounding totals. I don't think he's made it in this thread but if Lopez RPG is low because he uses his skills to box out and create space for his teammates to secure the boards than it puts his low RPG in context.

Impact on Team rebounding should be valued over raw rebounding totals. However, I haven't watch enough Nets games with Lopez to know if the above is accurate.

Blake griffin is only 6'8 1/2 and has very short t rex type arms. Therefore his reach is small forwardish and therefore he shoulnt be theoretically getting more than 6-7 a game. The fact that he is a career 10+ rebounder is therefore very impressive

7 game sample brah, we know blake can rebound because of what we have seen in before. Lopez has always been a bad rebounder. That being said, no one gets on marc gasol for being a bad rebounder, you should have made this thread about him
