Looks like the Heat won't have such an easy road after all. Having to play the Nets who swept them in the regular season, and probably a dominant Pacers team after that. (Pacers always play with passion against Miami)
Looks like the Heat might face the hardest road ever this season.

:facepalm A Bulls fan making fun of his own conference? You ought to be ashamed of yourself! Just because the East plays defense doesn't mean it is bad.

Charlotte (Top defensive team)
Brooklyn (Worst possible matchup + elite record in 2014)
Indiana (Top defensive team + elite record)

Seems like a tough road

Indiana is the only team that could give Heat problems. The nets will likely get swept

That's awesome, but seeds 1-7 in the west would demolish those teams and get to the Finals

Mavs could probably get to the conference finals with that competition

I can analyze my team without homer glasses. The Bulls without their best and second best offensive players aren't sniffing the playoffs in the WC. Defense is important in winning titles but you also need to be able to score. BALANCE, nikka...

Brooklyn is a 6th seed in the *EASTERN CONFERENCE*. Just because Miami has matchup problems with Brooklyn/Ind doesn't make it "the toughest road, EVER". It's just indicative of their own problems

Matchups are what the playoffs are all about! :biggums:
Just because a Western Conference team faces a squad that won more regular season games does not mean they have a tougher road. The Raptors won more regular season games than the Nets, but I'm pretty sure Miami would have an easier series against them than they will have against Brooklyn. Having the toughest road means facing the teams that give you the most problems, and that is what the Heat will be facing.

Facing teams full of HOF players. BronBron legacy only goes up if he manages to get through the East.

So basically, the Heat have the toughest road because they have weaknesses in their roster? Is that what you're saying? Because most western conference teams WOULD match up fine with Brooklyn and Indiana.

I dont see a huge diff between east and west in this playoffs the west may have a bit more firepower and wide open play east playin better Defense evens things out. The foolish west conf fans think if any team in west played any team in east minus miami they would sweep each series.

Every team has weaknesses, and the Heat just so happen to have to go through teams that can exploit these weaknesses. The truth is the Heat are not a very deep team. They have the best player in the series by far, but after that the matchups start to heavily favor the Nets. Wade is always a wildcard, seeing as we don't know if he can stay healthy. Bosh is hit and miss, but was mostly miss against the Nets this year. After that all the Heat have are a bunch of streaky and inconsistent 3 point shooters. I would honestly be shocked to see this series go less than 6 games.
