Unless he blows up post Duncan/Gino/Pop, he will be mostly forgotten after he retires and people will call him one of the most underrated players of his generation. Predictable is predictable.

Don't worry. Everything will be under control soon.
If you pay 50% extra, they'll even give American players a rough time.

He's a good finisher, but he ain't even close to the best.
Tony's dad is afro American and his mom is Dutch (white w/ blond hair & blue eyes & all)
Parker is only French or considered french because he spent most of his life in France.
Gotta be awkward w/ family reunions of his dad's side with them speaking English w/ american ghetto accent while tony speak sounding like jean Claude van damme  hon hon hon!
But the US must get some equity for tony 's success. If it wasn't for his American dad's black genes he wouldn't have been that fast player he is today.

The first thing that came to mind was a black software engineer who was very fast at retrieving files from the NYPD database, because he's trying to bring down a corrupt cop among that police force. I don't see what's the problem here.:confusedshrug:

Tony Parker is not "black" in the eyes of Afro-Americans because he doesn't speak or act ghetto. Don't get angry at me because Jim Brown said the same thing about Kobe.

Duncan, Pops and Manu are legends, and for some reason many people tend not to give Parker the credit that deserves. One of the best PGs of all time attacking the rim, one of the best european players of all time, and at least top 25 PGs of all time.

I don't know of any player that wasn't even top 5 at his own position for several years while only making 6 all-star teams out of 13 total seasons who is considered a "legend".
Low standards.

I said "at least top 25" plus I do not like rankings. Usually lead to sterile debates.

For at least 8 years, Tony Parker is definitly Top5 at his position. Prior to 2006 it is even debatable for few years. Furthermore, he was arguably Top1 or Top2 for many years during that stretch.

i think parkers season so far hasnt been really impressive.
and yesterday, it was the mavs defense that made him look like prime jordan.
one time they let him walk to the hoop 1 vs 4 on the fastbreak without even defending him:biggums:

In terms of talent alone, he's about as legendary as guys like Tim Hardaway and Kevin Johnson, imo. But combined with Duncan, Manu, Bowen, and Pop he's amassed a superb career. Will no doubt have his jersey retired in the AT&T Center :applause:

I think Parker is a top 15 PG of all-time and has a good chance at being a top 50 player when it's all said and done. The blessing/curse for Parker is he's played with the GOAT PF and top 3 coach his whole career, which means he will have to add more FMVPs to his resume to boost it. I think this dominant G7 performance against Dallas will help his resume slightly (although he has had clutch moments in G7 before, like his shot to ice CP3's Hornets with 50 seconds to go in 2008 G7). But to be honest, there's not much TP can do at this point outside of more FMVPs to really up his career resume. That's what playing for the Spurs does for you. You're going to sacrifice points/assists and even perceived individual defensive impact for wins.

France did colonize Vietnam in the 19th century and coerced to viets to French culture, romanticized their written language, and even introduced the baguette which today is used in their popular sanchwiches.
Seemingly benign cultural emperialism is part of France's pride as a country. America may have won the world w/ Hollywood movies, hamburgers, and music.
But France has Indochina, Algeria, and some African countries as their spoils of war.
