He wants to stay in Toronto last I heard.

I think the minimum he gets is $38 million over 4. Most likely around $42-44 million. The Raptors, Lakers and maybe Magic look like the only teams that have the money and fit for him right now.

I doubt he would go to a rebuilding team in Orlando. Lakers and Raptors will probably be in contention if that's case. It's up to what Kyle wants best. I'm hoping he will want to stay.

Lakers won't waste cap space on him, he's a marginal impact player. He'll make them slightly better but that's about it.

I say he signs with the Pacers, 3 years 30 mill

Money talks. The only question would be if Orlando is willing to accelerate their rebuild by offering a player in his prime that kind of a deal.

Lowry should already know this Raptors team is revolving around him now. He can take it if he believes it will go far beyond soon or leave it for another better chance. This MLSE can and will spend if needed. It's up to him.

$8-9 million per year. $10 million max.

Bulls should sign him and Melo and come back to being relevant.

If they had a true franchise player they would. In the Shaq/Penny era, they got Horace Grant to a big contract and they went to the Finals in his first year. In the Dwight era they signed Rashard Lewis to that ridiculous contract but went on to the Finals in his 2nd year. This current Orlando team has no true franchise player to build around yet, so I don't think they would spend on Kyle.

Kyle Lowry is a massive upgrade over Kendall Marshall and Jordan Farmar :facepalm

What do you mean we aren't doing this joke anymore?

Screw you ISH!!!

I think he gets a $60m offer out there. He is still young and his agent can easily convince another team that Lowry is going to only get better, especially after a grueling series vs. the Nets. I see the Raptors or another team giving him a $60m/5 year deal. He's worth that. It would be a travesty and a road to the lottery if they let him go.

I agree. If I was them, I wouldn't either. But sometimes we underestimate the stupidity of front offices and the pressure to build winners quickly.

Toronto will certainly have to offer a fifth year to keep him. I'm sure they hope a 5/40-45 deal can make it happen but I'm guessing Rondo numbers (5/50-5) is what it will take seal the deal.

The problem is the Raps have no one behind him that they can pass the reigns to like say Atlanta.

Raptors are in a tough position having to pay elite money for a +28 year old guy coming off a career year.

Vasquez is more than capable to start/back up Lowry. PG is Toronto's deepest position, have 5 currently.

No :oldlol:

Lowry is the team's best player, leader, and PG.

Try again. They'll be in the lottery is Vasquez is their starting PG

I said he's a capable starter. I didn't say he was better.

I like Lowry, but whoever pays him $11mil+ expecting him to be the 'missing piece' that makes them a contender is going to be wildly disappointed.

He'll get about 4 year/40 million. Hard nosed defender, capable of clutch stuff, but attitude issues could lead the contract into albatross status.

max is 40/4yrs

Theres only a small handful of teams that actually could use(and afford) an upgrade in starting pgs.

Raptors. im sure they want to keep him and i think 10 mil is the right price for what he brought to the team this year. that contract would be not too steep, nor insulting

Lakers. again, 10 mil is an option(though, pretty steep for the lakers with their current cap situation), but who knows what their plan is or where the end up in the draft. if they dont draft a pg (exum) and still plan on competiting (or at least trying to), then they might (and should) go after lowry.

Pacers. not entirely sure of their cap situation, which im sure will be even more hindered by the re-signing of stephenson. but hes a perfect pg for that team.

Cats. the idea is intriguing, and i have him as a better player than walker, but its probably not a likely signing. but i feel he would look great next to big al

I would give him 3/28million if I'm the Kings and drop both Rudy Gay (hope he opts out) and Isaiah Thomas in the process.
