View Full Version : The 2012 playoffs rigging is vastly underrated.

I rarely see this mentioned in all time rigging rankings. This is not a single game or series we're talking about. Every single game in the Miami run had blatant ref bias. From the amare vs fire extinguisher game 1 to the Finals game 5.

TOP 2 ALL TIME RIGGING AT WORST.

If you have any basketball knowledge you would know that Kobe was better than Bran. I give props to Bran's stats though, he is one of the greatest at putting up numbers but as far as who the better basketball player is? Without question Kobe. MJ, Dr J, Bird all alluded to what I've said.

Bran and Kobe are virtually on the same level

they got their warts but generally they are great ****ing players

why people think there is some huge non bridgeable gap between the players makes no sense to me.

There have been far worse no calls in history. I remember that no call being not that big of a deal. It was late in the game (in OT right?) but they were down by like 4 and either way, Rondo can't make free throws. :confusedshrug:

Kobe on the same level as Bran as ridiculous... he doesnt offer nearly as much to the game. Not close.

From efficient scoring, to defense, to playmaking, rebounding, leadership, clutchness, not close...

Okay Jabber, non trolling, lets do this..

Really the only bad calls from 2012 I remember is from the Heat-Celtics Game 2 OT... tied game with 1.40 left, Rondo gets mugged by Wade on a layup, no call, on the other end miami takes the lead (and never gave it away again if im correct)... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KmGTDBR2ye4

Now Im sure they wouldnt have lost both in Boston if the series is tied 1-1, as we know the intensity would have been way different, and bran simply would have had another huge game like he always had in 2012 when the team needed it.. however thats assumptions.

So, how about this call: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_Sd1Sx_sQ8

game 4, and equally shitty... pietrus pulled lbj down and they call an off. foul. c's win the game and tie the series as wade bricked the gw.

Thats it. 2 shit calls for both teams..

we know gonna ignore that the entire 2013 ecf between heat and pacers looked mad suspect, with indy shooting more ft's from games 1-6?

same for the heat-spurs g6, i remember it too well, through 3 quarters spurs got every call they could have gotten. shit was ridiculous.

and the claims on heat cheating late: manu traveled on his late shot where he was supposedly fouled by ray allen, bosh got all ball vs green, AND, it wouldnt even matter, as the spurs without calling a timeout, brought duncan back in the game after ray's 3 pointer... illegally and no one noticed.

People see what they want to see. After that no call on Rondo, social media went crazy. Everyone complained about the refs and it paid off because in game 4, they basically rigged for the Celtics. In a very close game, they called 3/4 phantom fouls on Lebron and fouled him out. They didnt call 1 phantom call, but many. But since you are a Lebron hater and cant accept the fact that he surpassed the rapist, you wont see remember that game. :facepalm

No but I see why that was confusing.

Have LeBron and Kobe from 7-13 along with Shaq, Hakeem, Duncan, West and Big O

But how much really separates those guys from Dirk, KG, Malone, Malone, Hondo, etc.

I really don't understand the mindset of NBA fans, don't really see people tearing down other players to prop their favorite in other sports as much.

It was disgusting. And it started in their very first game. That first half of the Knicks game was the worst rigging I've ever seen, and they probably wouldn't have even needed it. At worst they would have lost that game, and still win in 5 or 6.

The Celtics series was just as bad, and the Finals...talk about rigging at the biggest stage. At the end of game 2, 3, and 4 the refs made "timely mistakes" that put Miami on top. People forget how close that series was because of the 4-1 result and the last game being a blow out, but it should have been at least 2-2 if not 3-1 with the OKC on top, heading into game 5.

Long story short, NBA wanted Lebron to have his first ring worse than he did.:applause:

Eh, I think the worst rigged game I've ever seen may be that MIA/Pacers game 1 that year. I think by the second quarter every single Pacers starter had at least 2 fouls on them. Shit was insane. Vogel and some of the players got fined after the game for calling the refs out for it.

Really you could pick any Heat game from the playoffs that year. I wonder if thats the first year ever that two players from the same team led the playoffs in total FTA?
