Take Kobe out on the Lakers and Lakers is still more popular than the Heat. Take LeBron out on the Heat and see how their popularity will drop in the next copuple of years. The Heat as a team is just riding on LeBron's popularity.

I figure Lakers have the most bandwagon fans world wide, Heat have Lebron at the moment, Bulls popularity, worldwide, is probably a byproduct of Jordan, Celtics for the history, OKC for the up and coming successor to small market kings SAS, and Knicks for the market they're in.

Edit: By no means did I use any scientific method for my choices, I just thought these would be common sense picks and why.
