As much as I want him back as a Laker, I don't think he's coming back. There have been some interesting suggests as to where he's going, but where do you think he'll end up next season?

Grizzlies: I've heard rumors about them being interested in signing him, but I think that's more if Z-Bo doesn't stick around. Still, I'd love to see the Gasol Bros. raping on the same team.

Spurs: This one makes too much sense, and a bunch of Spurs fans here have been jacking off over this idea. I think Pau on that team would be a thing of beauty, and it would be great to see him potentially get another ring.

Warriors: This one popped up recently, what with Bogut being injured and the Warriors not having a big in the playoffs. Not sure how I feel about this one, but his rebounding numbers would probably skyrocket being around all those jumpshooters.

Pau = defensive sieve. Good luck to whoever has to deal with him.

I still think the Suns might take him.

They have some very attractive pieces on their team (assets, picks)

He should go to Phoenix.

He probably wants out of the west, but thats a perfect spot for him to go to. And they have nice houses and nice weather, and its close to LA still. Good retirement spot.

Memphis is the best for him imo. Play next to his brother, Elite defender, and then Pau can carry the weight on the offensive end.

The downside to Pau going to Miami is that I don't want to see Lebron stans shitting on him all the time the way Kobe stans do. Plus I REALLY don't want to root for those fvckers. :lol

I don't see him back with the Lakers.. He'll want more than the Lakers will offer and he'll certainly get more elsewhere. I think the atmosphere in Golden State would appeal to him but there would have to be some creative financing to get him up there, sign and trade type stuff, not sure GSW would be interested if they had to start giving up players

I don't think that will be a problem. I think Pau is really only considering 3 teams. Lakers, Grizzlies, or Spurs. Pau seems like a loyal dude, I can't see him leaving Kobe for any reason other than to play with his brother, or play for coach Pop.

Miami really doesn't have the financial flexibility to sign him, over the cap and they have half the roster to fill out next summer. Pau would have to take a huge paycut to move to Miami.

I hope he goes to a contender. Depending on what you have to pay him....I wouldn't mind seeing him on the Mavs.

There are other guys I'd want over him, but the Mavs always seem to miss out on them.

Phoenix should try and trade for Love. They have the cap space and assets to pull it off. Imagine Dragic, Bledsoe, and Love on the same team

Miles Plumlee is a solid defensive C too, so Love would fit right next to him. Phoenix would be dumb as hell not to try this.

With D'Antoni being gone, don't be surprised if he ends up staying. People still believe he could do damage if he plays in the post for some reason.

Honestly, why the hell should anyone trade for Pau Gasol?

He's a 33 year old with ailing knees. Pau is obviously on the decline. Teams should be worried about how many games he'll be able to play. It didn't look good last season because he missed so many games. If any team wants to trade for him it has to be a contender. I think Pau is only good for 1 more year.

Half of Gasol's missed games was due to vertigo, not knee pain. Besides, most of these injuries were a product of his inability to keep up with D'Antoni's fast pace.

And nobody is trading for him. He's a free agent.

don't know or care, hopefully he goes to a grind-it-out team that attaches a pair of testicles between his legs

lol at idiots acting like he is a scrub. jermaine o'neal can contribute to a good playoff team i don't see why a motivated pau can do 5 times more than the older o'neal.

Yet if he ended up in Miami those same idiots would be saying the Heat are unfairly stacked.

Actually........ a bunch of contracts are expiring this summer for Miami, and the Big 3 can all opt-out to sign new contracts.

So, yes, technically, Miami could have space for Pau.

With the expiring contracts off the books and cap holds you're still close to 70 million unless you think Miami is willing to waive bid rights on one of the big 3.. that would clear about 20 million in space but whoever it is is going to take a big hit financially

opting out doesn't remove the cap hold

I would like the Suns to get love. But we have enough outside shooting already. Gasol is a good low post scorer n a skilled passer, may be a hole on defense but he be a good fit next to Plumlee. A great veteran presence too, which is something the Suns need. Wouldn't mind to have him on the team .

Is he good? Can the Heat get him?

(okay, I had to do that in a post at least once in my ISH career) :hammerhead:

I feel like Pau will stick around in LA. MDA is gone, Kobe keeps expressing his desire to continue playing with Pau, and we all know how much Pau loves the LA lifestyle.

If he does leave, I bid him farewell and wish him luck wherever he goes, but I just hope he doesn't become a useless ring chaser like Derek Fisher did.
