He did it without colluding with 2 other all-stars in their prime.
He shut up critics/haters and did it the ALPHA way.
He won an MVP, then backed it up.
He stuck it out on a team that didn't make the playoffs and was losing in the first round for consecutive seasons.

20 years from now. People will say Lebron had better stats, but Kobe was better because he was alpha, didn't collude, and won when people say he couldn't after Shaq on the Lakers. He faced adversity and took it head on. He didn't run away like Lebron. Or come up short like KD. That's legendary. Not post padding. Muhammad Ali lost 5 times, yet people don't say Mayweather is better.

If you want to talk about perspective, Kobe is a man playing a game for kids in a society that offers institutional advantage and prestige to the a culture of egoism known as athletics. That you look at a man who has raped, backstabbed, and contributed nothing of worth to society and preach about perspective in the midst of your own myopia is the laughably hypocritical.

LOL with your existentialist nonsense. Are you going through a quarter life crisis? Is your hate towards Kobe actually a projection of the envy you feel because you're not as successful or resilient? Are you actually Lebron James? The most ironic part of it all is that you patronize me and denounce the NBA, yet you're a fan and go as far as to post on an forum about it. everyone shot badly on both boston and LA

kobes rodman like defense/rebounding that game made up for it..

and lebron might have 2 finals mvps.. but kobe had to beat 23 teams in the playoffs with 50+ wins. lebron only had to beat 4 teams with 50+ wins

kobe and lebrons rings/finals appearances are not created equally

for instance.. kobes 2010 run had all 4 teams with 50+ wins

as many as lebrons entire career in one playoff run

so just kobes one ring in 2010 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> lebrons entire life

Did the alleged rape really happen?

1. She changed her story 3 times.

2. Her panties were soiled by another dude's sperm, in other words, she slept with someone else before or after she slept with Kobe.

3. She bragged about sleeping with Kobe to friends at a party.

4. She refused to testify, this was after she changed her story for the last time.

5. Her behavior is not that of a rape victim. If you study rape cases and behavioral patterns of women who were raped, you will see no matching patterns.

6. Her behavior matches well with that of an extortionist. She filed a civil suit and was awarded money. 9 times out of 10, rape victims want to see their rapist rot in prison. But she was fine with money.

Haters just like use the "rapist" card against Kobe when they run out of things to say, whether they think he did it or not. I doubt many that are actually aware of the facts surrounding the case truly believe he raped her.

LMAO kobe stans talking about Kobe's championships like he was the main reason or something.

Kobe was just another cog in Phil Jackson's masterful offense

Yes Kobe scored points but that was because he was jacking up so many shots and bricking most of them, often to the detriment of the team

Lakers were great mainly because of having Bynum, Gasol, Odom, very tall frountcourt that could defend well and score on anybody. They could put back Kobe's many bricks

They provided enough elite defense and rebounding to cover Kobe's many deficiencies.

Kobe was just another player who ballhoged enough to somehow luck into FMVP and stole that award from Gasol

Simple question to Kobe Stans:

If Lebron went 6/24 in a Finals Game 7 (!!!!), that the Heat ended up winning, would you accept Lebron fans saying "But but but 18 rebounds, blah blah blah" or would you go on and on about how he got carried by his team?

BTW, this is a rhetorical question because everyone knows that you would do the latter.

Do you not give Lebron praise for his game six against the Spurs? It was very similar to Kobe's game 7 in 2010. They both struggled through the first three quarters but made clutch baskets and plays in the 4th quarter. Except Kobe didn't turn the ball over twice in the last minute and didn't need a season-saving miracle shot from a teammate. And Kobe had played much better in the previous games 1-6 compared to Lebron's 1-5, so he had done his job and capped it off with a clutch 4th quarter in game 7.

So that's your criteria to compare the two? Not by what they did, but by what their teammates did? Here's something any of Kobe's teammates or any of the other all time greats' teammates didn't do: take and make a season-saving shot at the last second.
