whatever the context Lebron is still saying that he played well enough to win MVP

If you acknowledge that you've played good enough for MVP but your team hasn't then you're saying that it's your team's fault

since there's nothing more a player can do to carry his team if he's already playing at MVP level

Maybe. But it's hard to say. It's definitely open ended. He could have said it differently if that's what he meant.

Bron says a lot of shit that could be interpreted differently. I personally believe the way people arrange words is determined by their true thought. Sentence structure, word choice, etc.

Everything Bron has said about the MVP seemed salty to me. I dunno what happened with Rose, so I can't comment on if he had an opinion on that, but something about KD... maybe he's more threatening because he's the same position and on a better team.

lll take it a step further...Just because he uses I does not necessarily mean he's saying its HISfault....Everybody knows that every year, we argue that the MVP should be on a winning team and that the team should be performing near the top of their game. He's saying HIS TEAM DID NOT PLAY WELL ENOUGH, WHETHER ITS HIS FAULT OR HIS TEAMMATES FAULT OR EVERYBODY'S FAULT...HE DIDN'T SINGLE ANYONE OUT.

If he would have used "The Miami Heat" in place of "MY", then he would have sounded like a d*ck referring to himself or his team in 3rd person....

He puts winning above everything else. If his team isn't winning, then he feels like he isn't doing enough to win the mvp.

With the second quote that the guy on twitter posted, it is obvious that is what he meant.

If you asked him if he's the playoff MVP, and if he were to be honest, his answer would likely be "Yes, I'm playing at a high level and have lead my team to win all 5 of our playoff games so far"

pegasus
05-07-2014, 10:24 AM
He didn't play at MVP level. He coasted all season on defense, very rarely took over games when his team needed him to. Yeah, he made sure he got nice stats, but there were so many close games in 4th quarters where he disappeared. Bosh, despite not having great numbers, was their MVP in the clutch. And Wade, whenever he played, played better and had more impact than Lebron.

pauk
05-07-2014, 10:29 AM
Yes, he did play well enough to win it and YES his team didnt play well enough to win it.... it overall wasnt enough because of the team record compared to the other MVP candidate, thats exactly what he means....

There is absolutely nothing wrong with what he said.... Why are you editing/taking out of context what he actually said? Are you Lebron butthurtians really that desperate? The actual quote is: "I think I played well enough to win it, but I don't think our team played well enough to win it."

Its like you are trying soooooooooo hard to make/act like Lebron is major douchebag or something taking every little thing he says out of massive context.....

The most famous example:

Lebron: "If we play up to our standards i believe we could win multiple championships and how me, Wade & Bosh contemplate eachother will be easy after challenging in practice once the game starts its going to be easy"
Haters: "I guarantee/promise we will win multiple championships, its going to be very easy"

LMAO some stans here need to accept Lebron can make mistakes too. I am sure even himself doesn't feel so well about how that response came out.

To me he had a great season again but wasn't better individually than Durant, who was on fire for months and had a historical scoring stretch. It's no shame to acknowledge that, noting that it takes a historical season to bet Lebron for the MVP trophy...

He is still the best player in the league and the most likely to win that FMVP a month from now so it's all good :D

1st. Stop trying to misconstrue the quote, we know what it meant, and it is exactly what it sounds like

2nd. He promised multiple championships when he went "Not one,not two..." so wtf are you even talking about?

3rd. I never called you pathetic, but to be honest spending your whole time on the internet defending a man that doesn't even know you exist is pretty close to it.
