View Full Version : Durant pretty much has to go for 40+ tonight.

You're down a game to a great Clippers team, you're at home, you just won the biggest award of your life, and you gave one of the most emotional speeches ever to commemorate that award...

He is going to look like a total fool if he doesn't go H.A.M. tonight. It would be a very memorable moment in his career for him to give a speech like that and then have a career game the next day. Or it could backfire. I hope it doesn't, I'd love for him to go crazy.

I'm calling 36/9/6 on 50/40/90+ shooting, but I hope he scores more. I say Thunder get the W.

He doesn't have to score 40 or have some otherworldly game for OKC to win a game against the Clippers...they need to play solid defense on the perimeter and Ibaka has to be aggressive on the offensive end to get Blake in foul trouble, have Thabo defend CP3 instead of Russ, CP3 has a tougher time against longer defenders, Sefolosha SHOULD be the obvious guy to put on Chris.

KD has to play like his usual self, 30 points on about 50% shooting is enough if others at least play as well as they would on average...Russ needs to go back to passing the ball and getting everyone involved like he did in the last 3 games of that Memphis series.

Basketball is a team game and it takes a team to win a Playoff series against a stacked roster like the Los Angeles Clippers.

the only reason sefolosha should be in the game is to guard cp3, even though his defence isn't anything special anymore

Just needs to play some defense and hope Scott Brooks learns to coach within the next 10 hours.

would like to see him have the ball in his hands more, higher usage-%, less standing around and watching Westbrook develop the play. Defensively their whole team needs to contribute to getting stops

He has the second highest USAGE percent in the playoffs behind RW...

OKC needs to play good D. Ibaka needs to get into an attacking role to get Blake in foul trouble. Put Sefolosha on CP3, he has a hard time with long, sound defenders. Russ has the stamina to chase JJ around and Durant can rest on D a little bit with Barnes. Adams should be the obvious choice to guard DeAndre, but we all know Scott Brooks.

My prediction: 102-95 Thunder

Durant 34/9/4
Russ 23/8/7

CP3 19/4/13/4stl
Blake 25/10/3

Whole time I watched the speech I kept saying...You have to win a championship now or this emotion is phony. All this inspiration and you go out in second round...you surely look like a whiny beta.

So, you better win it all Kevin.
