View Full Version : LeBron switching Teams in the Offseason

Lebron switching teams again would be great for the NBA. I really hope that happens. The only reason to stay would be due to the weak East.

If LeBron leaves in the offseason, it's been a nice 4 years cheering for the Heat :applause:

Like mentioned in other threads, the thrill of it all HAS dwindled a bit... Also I'd love to see LeBron in the West.

My favorite Options would be: Clippers, Warriors, Rockets, Blazers. In that Order.

I don't see many arguments for anyone else in the West, or the East/League for that matter. It would be between those 4 if he decides to change uniforms.

What y'all think?

Edit: Suns and Cavaliers, 2 other great options... Mavericks/Grizzlies probably no, Spurs/Thunder don't even come to question. Everything else like Knicks or Lakers makes zero sense if you want to win, only because they're big markets.

He's going to rot in Miami whether you like it or not. He's declining and it'll be much more obvious this upcoming regular season as apposed to last season. No team will want him, they want Durant.

What would attract him to go there?

Well said.

I'm assuming it's the bandwagoning?

It's amazing how being real with it can get you killed... Where are all those 1990's Bulls Fans? 80's Celtics Fan? In the 80's everyone was either a Sixers, Laker, Celtic or Pistons Fan... at least 90%. How come the Clippers have so many Fans all of the sudden? The Thunder? Where were those Fans in 2009?

I'm saying the ones who are open about their Stanning aren't as bad as the ones who pretend to like the Team. You know, people who said "The CAVALIERS are my favorite team", "I will ALWAYS be a Laker", and are now on to cheering for the Clippers...
Let's not kid ourself, the Heat Fanbase will be cut in half once LeBron leaves... I am just being flat out honest about it. That's how it goes, in all of sports. Generally, the most succesful teams have the most fans.

I hadn't thought about this, but Sterling out might mean Lebron to the Clippers is more likely. Lebron wouldn't have to play under Sterling, and I believe it was Sterling that was saying he wouldn't trade Griffin for anyone. Lebron would get to play with his best friend in the league in CP3 and play under Rivers who he's respected so much. And Deandre Jordan is becoming an all-star. And I don't think Miami would turn down something Griffin+Crawford if Lebron decides he's going to leave regardless.

Also, I still wouldn't rule out Cleveland. They got alot of young pieces that Cleveland could potentially turn into someone like Kevin Love. I'm sure Lebron would entertain the idea of forming a big 3 with Kyrie and Love.

Bran will probably scurry to the next team that can carry him, no surprises there.. Miami will still rape the east next season so maybe one more year to be a heat fan

Aren't you currently getting your bachelor's degree in bandwagoning, OkcBaller? I know the Celtics have been a trainwreck, but you have a nice future ahead of you. Maybe you should reconsider this jump.

He's not going anywhere, life in Miami is good. Also guys like Wade and Bosh will take paycuts with him. No state tax, winning basketball, the sun, players want to take min vet to chill on the beach. Why leave?

Damn I want LeBron to move teams.. you know how sick that would be? Obviously he would go to a West team... the thrill with the Heat is gone, him changing it up again would be great for the league and add some serious excitement... And you know what? It would be fair... LeBron deserves a good team, and the West is fuggin LOADED. That shit would be amazing to see :applause:

I agree, this Heat sh*t is getting boring.

Lebron needs to go somewhere like Chicago or Cleveland where he'll be the clear cut guy offensively. It was fun watching him put up 40/10/10 and having to carry his team on his back.

Portland and LAC don't even have a plausible shot tbh. And the Warriors would have to gut their roster for a S&T. Riley has said he's not doing one.

It's Cleveland/Houston

Then Dallas and maybe Chi town.

Everybody else is irrelevant until proven otherwise. This is assuming he leaves.

Bulls fans post-Jordan era.

Home attendance post-Jordan (from 1999)

1999 - 1st
2000 - 1st
2001 - 2nd
2002 - 9th
2003 - 5th
2004 - 3rd
2005 - 2nd
2006 - 2nd
2007 - 1st
2008 - 2nd
2009 - 2nd
2010 - 1st
2011 - 1st
2012 - 1st
2013 - 1st
2014 - 1st

The Bulls home attendance hasn't dropped out of the Top 9 since Jordan left the Bulls. They've been the best home attendance 8 times post-Jordan, the best home attendance the last 5 years. And even if we bring up that Derrick Rose is on the team in that span, he has played only 10 games the last 2 seasons.

Even with Jordan stans, they are still a great fanbase.

I couldn't see LeBron on the Suns.
