View Full Version : Knicks can't wait for 2015. Have to trade Chandler and Amare before they expire

Giving up the huge salary cap for the hopes of an outright free agent signing like Kevin love is too much of a risk. It would be better to exchange the big contracts now.

Is there a chance the pistons want out of the josh smith deal? Bucks Larry sanders?

Are there any other teams that want big expiring deals and bigs?

Not sure anyone wants expiring contracts and aged, broken down bigs so badly that they're willing to deal good young players in return.

Is this for serious? Larry Sanders is 23 years younger than Chandler AND makes less money. Amare has the worst 2014-15 contract in the league.

If you want to trade either of them you will have to include multiple #1s. Like GSW did last year. Wait. NYK doesn't have multiple #1s...

Don't know about championship but they'd have a damn good shot at making it to the WCF. I was literally fcuking dumbfounded no one made a move for that guy. I thought the Blazers and the Mavs would be the first to come knockin'. Turns out that Robin Lopez made a nice jump and has played well, but Asik is still an upgrade.

And he's a MASSIVE upgrade over Dalembert :oldlol:

Hell, even the Spurs could have worked out a deal involving an Asik-Splitter exchange... Splitter would be a great backup big and Asik a terrific starting C in SA. GMs fcuked up sleeping on Asik.

Props to OP though, I am surprised he did not create a trade scenario sending Dragic to NY.

Well you could prob get him after next year so I could see how you could have such a low offer.

Please, no more trading 1st round picks. If this year teaches anything, even in a weak draft there can be excitement with a rookie. Tim Hardaway Jr was a steal  And now you wanna trade him too :facepalm

Bucks agree. No takebacks.

You haven't seen Mayo since he got started his seafood diet. He has been eating all the food he sees since he signed his 3/24 deal.

It will be a great day when the Knicks get rid of Chandler.

I mean who wouldn't want a complete offensive stiff who has no post game because he can't dribble. Takes maybe 10 actual shots per year. It's lob for him or nothing

Such a joke that someone of his size barely avg. 3fta per game for his career.

Gringos is pushing one of his 2 favorite agendas making Shump a PG and trading amare chandler for something decent.

The new collective bargained agreement prevents some of the same benefits of expiring contracts from years past. Its not that hot a commodity.

Yeah it prevents getting pau or a free agent out of chandler. It doesn't prevent getting players already under contract
