Ewing was a warrior. Playing till his body gave out, partially tearing his Achilles later in those playoffs. Reminds me of Kobe in that he over extended himself and then tore his Achilles tendon.

that knicks team made the finals basically without ewing....just more evidence of how ****ing weak the eastern conference was.

This is giving me a flashback of a Ewing strippers story, but I just can't remember.

I don't think there is a scrub point guard I've ever hated more than I hated Rick Brunson back then. One of those guys you hope don't get hired as assistants anywhere because you're sick of seeing their annoying face. Unfortunately, he ended up getting assistant coach jobs

You remind me of Federline the wannabe white rapper, who was trying to carv out his own nitch by being anti firefighters. And he kept trying to convince everyone why firefighters are bad. It's like, let it go. The east wasn't weak during the 90s, stop trolling about that and get a life. There's a million other things that you can be doing with your life right now.

quit whining over a universal fact....
the east WAS weak in the 90s, evidenced by the knicks making the ****ing finals (spurs eventually smacked them around) with a hobbled ewing who sat out every other game.
you should take your own advice btw. dilbert. always see your dumbass in koMe threads talking about how "fake" the dude is.

You probably were in diapers then. How old are you? You obviously have a Kobe agenda, which is why you're acting like Federline, wasting your life going around trying to convince everyone that the east was weak, even though nobody has ever said that.
And if you noticed, I compared Ewing's display of heart to Kobe.
Did you watch the playoffs that year? You're claiming that Ewing sat out every other game, and seem to have no awareness that he tore his Achilles before the finals. Which is why the Spurs smacked them around. Did you think that Knicks were at full force in the finals?
I strongly suggest for you to try a new hobby, something productive for your life, instead of coming up with dumb agendas. Stop being like Federline trying to find a niche by convincing everyone that firefighters are bad.

EC was weak in the 90s?
You had the 90 & 91 Bad Boy Pistons, Celtics (Bird put up 24 10 8 in 1990)
You had the Charlotte Hornets with Larry Johnson, Zo, Muggsy
You had the Knicks with Ewing, Oakley, Starks, Sprewell
You had the Pacers with Reggie, Smits, Mullin, Rose
You had the Magic with Shaq, Penny, Horace Grant
and later you had the Heat with Zo & Tim Hardaway
That spells weak to you?

did you listen to the postgame interview? jim gray: hobbled, could barely walk, short of breath...hardly himself basically....and yet, still beat a "stacked" heat squad.
the spurs would have probably swept NY had ewing played....they looked better without him at that stage of his playing career.

i strongly suggest you follow your own advice. stay productive and quit talking about 15+ year old basketball clips and players expressions on an NBA message board.

You had the 90 & 91 Bad Boy Pistons(hobbled, depleted, old), Celtics (Bird put up 24 10 8 in 1990--and was shit in the playoffs due to back problems)
You had the Charlotte Hornets with Larry Johnson, Zo, Muggsy(weak perimeter play, jordan torched them: see 95)
You had the Knicks with Ewing, Oakley, Starks, Sprewell(ewing was old, oakley had zero offense, starks is a midget, weak)
You had the Pacers with Reggie, Smits, Mullin, Rose (reggie was their best player, and we all know he is overrated, but whatever, pretty good team i guess)
You had the Magic with Shaq, Penny, Horace Grant (injured in 96 when they were spept by chicago)
and later you had the Heat with Zo & Penny (penny never played for the heat, moron)

Penny actually played on the Heat in 08, but I mixed him up with Tim, it happens.
Tim however was a great player as well had similar numbers to Penny
1990 Pistons won the NBA Championship, Knicks team took the Rockets to 7 games, Pacers took the Bulls to a Game 7 in 98...
MJ was just that good, he made others look bad in comparison.

That was one of the weaker teams coming into the Finals... but they handed the Spurs their first road loss. What happened to the West that year? No homecourt advantage? :confusedshrug:
