It should not be viewed as bigotry that parents would prefer there son to be straight over gay, gays have a much higher suicide rate and experience hard struggles and depression due to being gay. Also most parents dream of grandkids with their DNA included. I'm pretty sure most gays would prefer to be straight even.

If my son is gay I'll still love him and support him every bit as much as I do now, but not even going to lie, would much rather him be straight.

100k videos are actually really hard to do. 99% of people will never crack 1000 views on their entire channel.

Also you have to qualify for the partners program to get any ad revenue. I think they take it on a case by case basis but they require 20k subscribers (actually really hard to do), or so i have heard.

the most successful youtuber Pewdiepie has 26 million plus subscribers.

his average videos get 3-6 million views per video, and he releases about 4-7 a week.

He is making bank.

SMOSH basically started a company that employs actual employees off their youtube revenue.

It makes a lot of sense. Youtube works the same way as network tv.

You create a show/video and advertisers put ads on in front of or during your video/show. The advertisers want to reach your audience. As long as you can build your audience, advertisers will want to advertise on your channel.

Its the exact same model as network tv.
