As long as it's not a remake, I'm down. Any idea what the story line is going to be? Would be weird seeing grown people doing the same things they did when they were kids.

And the original was Brolin's first major role, he's improved so much as an actor since then :applause:

I honestly can't believe that's them. Wow. This movie has the potential to be a cool trip...just a kick-ass adventure movie.

The movie is going to be about the adventure their kids have. Not a remake

I didn't say it was going to be a remake. Goonies 2 kinda implies sequel, not remake.

.

all the originals are in,

This has not been announced. They are trying to get all or much of the original cast though. I think Brolin would be the hardest to get back.

[QUOTE]THE GOONIES 2 IS IN THE WORKS WITH STORY REPORTEDLY WRITTEN BY STEVEN SPIELBERG
BY JAKE KROEGER ON APRIL 21, 2014
Nearly 30 years after The Goonies made a mark on the childhood of millions for decades after its release, a sequel seems like it might just be on the way, according to the director of the original film, Richard Donner. Of course, given the immense popularity and longevity of The Goonies, a sequel has been a possibility for some time, but only now, with interest expressed from the original cast, like Sean Astin, Josh Brolin, and Corey Feldman, does a Goonies 2 seem more likely.

In addition to casting, none other than Steven Spielberg, also according to Donner, came up with the sequel

Yeah I don't know how I've never seen it, there are a lot of cult classic movies my friends saw as kids that I never did.

Should probably fix that :lol
