Spo is useless.

There was this game vs Washington where Spo said to play Zone and Wade flat out said no and the team followed suit. They won the game, but lol Spolestra. :oldlol:

It's hilarious how the Coach has no say... Dude is a glorified cheerleader.

As far as they're winning I don't see the problem you guys are seeing, so what there's communication between the coach and the player and the coach isn't a dictator that won't take your superstar's opinion.

The problem is that in the heat of battle the player rarely ever want's to come out. It's up to the coach to make such a decision not the player.

so if a player needs a break he's allowed to tell the coach and get taken out of the game to get a breather?

wow, spoelstra has lost control of his team. grow a pair dude

Not saying that at all dude, managing minutes is crucial. Last game it was a 20 point game in 4th (Game 1) and he doesn't take Lebron and Wade out until 1:46. Don't act like you wouldn't crucify Scott Brooks (WOAT) if he did something like that.

Wade has the heart of a champion, it's not like he some suspect role player with no heart. If the man says he can't go then he can't go, he's more than earned Spo's trust throughout the years they've battled together.

You've changed my mind.

Situations like this are more common than you think, especially in veteran teams.

Average coach at best. He keeps his composure when shit hits the fan, but his rotations tend to be dogs.hit.

Dwayne has earned that right. Lets not act like everyone gets this treatment on the team.

Pippen used to run defense however he saw fit, many times ignoring Phil's plan. The whole team went to Pip not Phil.

Spo is a boyscout.

But people on this site DRASTICALLY overrate the impact coaches have on the team's success.

Pretty much this. All of a sudden he is an elite coach according to some :oldlol: He isn't bad by an means. But I don't think he is a top coach any stretch of the imagination.

good coaching is also trusting your vets to know their limitations
