Yikes, a prime David Robinson on the current Spurs would be startling. Also interesting to contemplate the role reversal, where it'd be Duncan on the downside of his career with The Admiral young and rising, instead of vice versa.

I wonder what Robinson's career arc would have been like if that were the case. He'd likely win rings early with Parker, Ginobili, and Duncan. And perhaps the Spurs being an established franchise now would draw more help to David even after those first three retire. That way he probably wouldn't have those years where he'd be relying on Negele Knight.

Easily. They would dominate so badly that the word 3 peat would not be enough. A new term would have to be created....maybe three-rape.

Forget prime David Robinson. Replace current Tim Duncan and Ginobili with prime Duncan and Ginobili and they would probably 3 peat with this roster.

Probably. Prime Duncan and a broken down Robinson were still competing with Derek Anderson, Steve Smith and Danny Ferry filling roster time. Imagine in today's era, with the help of Parker, Manu, Kawhi, Marco, etc.

Better yet, imagine prime Robinson and prime Duncan playing together.

You could take this exact Spurs roster, and replace current Manu with peak Manu and they'd 3 peat.

They're already championship contenders...put a HOF all-time great center like D-Rob there and they're not losing. Seriously, they would have a shot at almost sweeping through the playoffs 2001 Lakers style, maybe losing 1 to Miami if Lebron goes nuts.

They pretty much did the same in '99. They lost 1 game to the Knicks and one to the Timberwovles.

Just imagine a Parker, Manu, Kawhi, Duncan, Robinson lineup. Then there's the bench. . .

They would easily be the best defensive team in the league. David Robinson is 2nd only to Olajuwon as far as I'm concerned as far as defensive dominance. He's also the best ball handler as a legitimate big man. He could go coast to coast and finish himself like he was a small forward. Before his athleticism went he had an unstoppable face up game in the post. He averaged 10fta's or so regularly because nobody could stay in front of him and was forced to foul him. It wasn't like Shaq either...you didn't want to foul Robinson as he was a good ft shooter but you were left with no chance because he was too quick, explosive, and a great ball handler. His post game is actually underrated. People seem to think he had no back to the basket game because he was so good facing up. He also a had a 12 foot jumper that was money.

The Spurs would easily be the favorites with a 91-96 Robinson.

Does your usage of the word "nikka" despite being an asian midget stem from the fact that you are indeed an asian midget, or because you have a small weiner?

Well, add a superstar to any roster and they will significantly get better. Imagine adding one to the team with the best record in the league.
