Yes he is.

Kids are getting dumber by the way. Going to school doesn't make you smart. In fact doing something you hate (like going to school) 5 times a week is pretty good evidence that you're stoopid.

Doing something you don't particularly like for the long-term benefits is pretty damn smart and commendable.

Almost every person I talk to who didn't go to college regrets it. For the people who did go to college and got a degree, they stress how important it is. There's a reason for that.

School/work is where the majority of relationships stem from. Friends, occupation, tangible success(money) = happiness. Even if you have to struggle through all the bullshit you hate doing.

There are stupid old people, stupid middle aged people, and stupid young people. That's how it has always been and always will be.

The difference is that advertisers know that they can make more money off the last group.

They're also less bigoted, but it looks like you don't follow either that trend nor the IQ trend.

I've never heard any adult say any of this shit. This is some garbage someone made up in order to complain about adults. Total agenda driven article. The fact is, teens of every generation are dipshits who think they know everything. It usually lasts into the twenties and at some point they realize that listening to people with more experience in life is actually beneficial. We've all been through it.

Work ethic and civic duty seem to be on the decline. More kids raising kids these days with both parents in the work place and/or separated. General sense of community seems to be on the decline as well. It's interesting how people think they're so connected with their facebook and twitter... but probably don't even know their neighbors names, or who owns the business's they shop at on a daily basis.

This is what's laughable, the next generation will likely have more opportunities than yours and then become the best generation of all time, and the cycle continues. . .

This is something I've noticed quite a lot too. To be honest I've attributed the decline of community in part to the sheer number of increased opportunities a person has today. I mean you really can be anything you want to be, going to law school isn't just determined by how much money your parents have. . .

You can get loans and work your way there when in the past you couldn't. Also I think people have just accepted that they will likely move around if they choose to make their career the no.1 priority so there's much less emphasis on building on the community spirit if they won't be their for extended periods.

Oh an uh, the internet.

That article is BS: modern teens are dense as hell, they don't even read any more, and spend their lives attached to various screens and social fatuities. The article actually uses lower school drop out rates and higher university attendance as a justifying reasons that prove kids have got smarter :facepalm. Ignore that education is being progressively dumbed down, and that just about an imbecile can complete an undergraduate degree course, and that the government has created a huge bubble through their constant incentivises kids to go. Fools:facepalm .

A direct result of the extreme administrative centralisation we have come to rely on, and which drives the growing sense of alienation and social atomisation that is predominant in the modern world.

The importance of community spirit built by strong and independent towns:

If teens are smart, they'll get a free college education.

It's not hard to do at all. And if you aren't smart/focused enough to lock down a schooly; lots of employers pay full/half of education costs.

Point proven.

That a 24 year-old could be as immature as you only goes to show what a joke this modern generation is. It's not 'pretty simple' actually: there is no evidence whatsoever for more recent generations having superior mental capacities to human beings from more than 2000 years ago. Just read any of the Greek playwrights, and you will see there is no real difference in intellect between man now and then, just a difference in mentality brought about by a different culture and environment. Modern culture, however, clearly has a constraining effect on the intellect: it narrows, it standardises and simplifies all things down to their base elements. It provides endless sources of distraction to thwart abstract thought and creativity.

Society progresses in that it is always in a state of flux and forever changing, but there is no reason it cannot progress in a direction that brings negative consequences; and an idealistic youth, arrogant and certain of their own superiority, has time and again been the catalyser of such misfortunes.

for the teens who are reading this, there will always be someone trying to strip away and ruin your childhood, and don't let someone, just take that away from you.

Idk I think the one mistake that every generation makes is to think that they are unique. Times change and trends are different but a lot of it is just Window dressing. There are key differences but the individual experience, insecurites, and wishes are largely the same. Statistics are never going to be the thing that weeds out those key differences.

Saying shit like "this article is BS teens are lazy as hell today and are dumb as ****". OK, where's your proof Einstein?
Proof? The proof is out there in the world, i suggest you take a look out there one day.

I say this being under 25 myself, and having spent a lot of time with people of the younger generation, and as far as i can tell they are getting dimmer and dimmer. There are obviously exceptions, as there always will be, but stupidity is the rule (as it tends to be with young people). But modern culture, based around images, polling, statistics, making things simpler, more digestible, less thoughtful etc. all trends towards making people less intelligent and more uniform. Kids think things like Twitter/Facebook are revolutionary, and that they are somehow part of this world-wide social media revolution, but in the end they are just making themselves retarded. Add to that the consensus form of entertainment for young adults: clubbing, getting stupidly drunk, talking about it pointlessly the next day, perhaps screwing somebody if you're one of the less sad ones, watching sports, texting constantly - that's some seriously fatuous shit. Just compare the format of newspapers now to what they were like 60 years ago, and you will she the shift towards stupidity.

Kids/teens as a rule are more immature now because they are given longer to grow up. The absence of fear from sudden death, growth in wealth, and the expansion of formal education have made children children for longer. Teens no longer have any real worries or responsibilities. Most 18 year olds a century or so ago (perhaps longer) would've had extensive responsibilities, or they would have had the type of rigorous education that had a slew of writers and thinkers producing their best work in their early twenties, and who were incredibly mature individuals before even 20. Regular folk used to be buying their first home in their mid-twenties, now they are all living at home and paying off huge debts.

I really could go on...

Using 1 person to describe a much large population, your a ****ing moron. Go take your perceived intelligence elsewhere.

LOL.

Just as suspected.

IQ and "attendance rates" discussing the kids' smartness levels.

Smartness encompasses way more than that.

What next? # of accidents proving that women are better drivers than men. :oldlol:

The usage of yellow journalism and exagerrated association tendencies to debauch 2014 Germany by reminding the world of Hitler?

HOW. THE. F*CK. DO. THESE. STATISCIACIACIANS. HAVE. JOBZ?

Young guys spouting out #yolo and sh!tting on the human potential they have been given by the men who had busted their backbones inseminating struggling women to give them a shot at life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Young girls chanting "don't judge others" as their cultural marxism invites perversions of a whole new level at every new corner. Inviting rampant retarded idealogies antithetical to nature like equality and feminism.
