Why is no one talking about JJ? Dude has been a beast this postseason and easily the Nets best player. Every time he takes a jumpshot I expect it to go in. Stepping up big.

It's A VC3!!!

:applause:

I'll give him a pass due to playing with plantar facetious vs the Bulls last season but he is really playing well during the entire post-season. We just need a little more from Pierce and A LOT more from Deron.

Joe johnson is an incredible player, his only weakness is his contract.

Yeah i think we forgot how good he was but with his skillset it makes me wonder why he wasn't better. Seems like he can do it all;

6'8" good size
good handling ability
solid passer
can shoot
can post up smaller guards
don't think he has defensive deficiencies

seems like all the tools to be a top 5-10 player at his prime/peak

He's a great player, no doubt. One of the best clutch scorers in the league

Different time (where I was in agreement with Blaze and Shaq Attack):

Outside of this current performance (he won't replicate it going forward), he has far too many inconsistencies and in terms of the other premier guards (including his position) in the game overshadowing him.

Pure reputation vote at the time. But right now he is playing like one.

Ive never seen JJ so methodically pick people apart as he's been doing this year.. his game got better with age.

He lacks elite athleticism.

Thats the only reason he's not better than Wade and Bron.

Everyone was saying he didn't deserve to be an all-star this season, including me. I take that back based on what i've seen, dude's been ballin' these playoffs :applause:

1 of only 2 he's balled in. The rest of them he stunk.

Like I said before, this is probably the best we'll see of Joe in the playoffs and then it's going to be back to his folding in the playoffs from the other series he's had. I will say this, he was always going to be good in a reserved role and a not clear #1 role.

this is the key.. nets relied on him to do too much dribbling in past years, and now they have livingston and pierce as players that can create and are smart. The whole team is on point

He went off quite a bit with that series against Toronto

Because nobody could guard him 1 on 1 for long stretches. The one thing that was Toronto's major down fall was that they didn't have true SF.

I think if Terrence Ross started to play defense on him from the start, he would have had some more success in this series, but I don't know. Hoping Toronto looks for a SF asap through draft, trade, or FA.

I agree.

It reminds me of his role on the 04-05 suns to an extent. Let Nash handle the passing for Amar'e in the pick and roll and Marion, Johnson, Richardson, and Jackson for 3's.

He was solid during the season, but honestly he has been really impressive during the playoffs. I always saw him as the 3rd or 4th guy on the team, but he is definitely been the Nets best player.

I'll admit it. I ethered anyone that supported Joe Johnson. He's making me look like an ass. He's the only reason Brooklyn is being competitive right now.

Remember when he broke his face while in Phoenix? He was a trooper. Also, reason #246 why players shouldn't try to hang on the rim when dunking with two hands off one foot unless they're completely alone in the open floor (shout out to Andrew Bogut): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5F75fvHshM

Also, remember when he guarded Michael Jordan early in his rookie year?

I still don't think he deserved to be an all-star this year. If you had Joe Johnson on your fantasy team, not sure if there was a more frustrating player to have on your roster. Too many games when he didn't put any stats.

That being said, he had some monster games in the regular season (i.e. the 8 3's in the first quarter game, and the 22 pt quarter against the Heat). He's playing more like that in these playoffs. He killed my poor Raptors.

When's on his game, he's fun to watch.

It's A VC3!!!

of course joe deserved to make the all-star team. the question is, did someone else deserve it more? there was only one other unchosen player in the east to deserve it more than joe and that was lowry. people were talking about lance making it. lance sucks. where is he now. he sucked vs the hawks and is sucking now too.

He's very good and talented, but he lacks that killer instinct that Durant and Kobe have.
