I just started working at a new job and the hours are 6:30-2:45 monday through friday. It takes me about 20 minutes to get there. What do you guys think of these hours?

If you are a morning person then they will be godly since you'll miss traffic both ways. If you are a night owl...they will blow.

Work schedules are pretty subjective as everyone has different preferences and lifestyles. I would personally love that schedule, simply because your shifts end well in advance of the average 9 to 5er. With living in a metropolis city like Toronto, those hours would also allow me to alleviate the clutter of rush hour traffic which is huge. And if you have plans in the evening, getting home for about 3ish gives you all sorts of time to nap and decompress.
On the contrary, that's a pretty early ass start so if you're not a morning person it might take some time making the adjustment.

Your body will adapt. Waking up at 5:30 or so isn't that bad at all.

Pretty sweet schedule, you'll have some time to run errands as well. A lot of places (like banks) run on your typical 9-5 schedule so it's impossible to get stuff done when your work schedule is the same.
On the other hand ( and hopefully it will be very few and far in between) if you have say a concert on a week night and you get drunk, waking up at 5am will be hell. Lack of sleep ruins my entire day so make sure you get enough sleep. Take some melatonin if you need help while your body adjusts.

This, traffic will not be frustrating, but it will suck having to go to bed early unless that is what you prefer. The shitty thing would be going out with people on weekends will mean you'll want to turn in earlier than most or fvck up your sleep schedule for work on Monday.

Sounds like fcuking hell to me. I am a night person, my ideal working hours would be something like 10-6
If you are a morning person those are solid hours tho.

I do 7-3 and love it, so so much time to do stuff in the afternoon. I'd prefer to get up relatively early and get it done.

I'd have to flip my schedule completely upside down.

I'm good with 9-5. I'm very social, so I like being off at the same time as most others.
