View Full Version : When Are People Going To Admit KD is Soft

Doesn't have the demeanor or toughness to be a GOAT or win a bunch of titles. He isn't even the leader of his own team. The NBA is in terrible hands if anything happens to LeBron :facepalm

Not saying dude needs to start talking shit or getting in people faces. But he is a garbage defender, disappears for stretches if he isn't scoring, not leader material by means. And has anyone noticed how much trouble he has hitting foul shots in crunch time? Almost derrick Rose-esque

He has to toughen up. The NBA is his for the taking if he does, but how is he ever gonna out-tough LeBron if he gets pushed off his mark by Chris Paul?

When was he ever called anything other than soft?

It's not really brought up enough. Seems like the people that argue he is the best in the NBA don't really believe it themselves. He just isn't a dominant player imo. He gets his scoring numbers, but he is invisible aside from that. Brings absolutely zero intangibles to the table.

Who said they were losing, Corky? OKC has the refs on their side. They win this eventually. Probably 7 games, but they're winning.

He doesn't even need strength. I can't believe he can't just establish position and shoot over top.

I don't think he's soft mentally. He has hit plenty of clutch shots in his career. I think he's soft physically though. Why the hell is he allowing CP3 to push him out to the 3 point line? He's 10 inches shorter for ****'s sake. It's like playing your stocky little brother. Just post him up and shoot over him.

When it's all boiled down, KD is a 6'10 prime Ray Allen. Which makes for a very productive player but not a truly dominant one IMO.

And what I mean by that comparison is this dude wants to play like a pure scoring guard. When he needs to play closer to the rim and get his hands dirty and play like a 6'10 240 lb SF/PF should.

Honestly I don't thnk that's his true comfort zone so it is what it is.

Let's not pretend LeBron is some mental juggernaut. LeBron may be built like a tank, but we've seen him fold like a lawn chair under stress on multiple occasions.

Durant does need to develop a post game though. He also needs to improve his ball control, passing, and decision making. A lot of that can be accomplished by playing closer to the hoop, and not initiating everything from 30 feet away.

Difference is LeBron and KD aren't judged by the media the same. Guys like LeBron, Kobe, Shaq, etc would be crucified for some of the stuff FT35 gets away with.

Probably because Durant is only 25 years old. Give him 2-3 more years without winning a title, and the media will start piling on like they did with LeBron.

Bron is soft, too.

KD just needs to find his happy place like Bron did. Still, it seems like OKC may win the ring this year... esp if Westbrook keeps passing. All da beef got squashed.

It has become clear that certain LeBron fans here are psychiatric cases, that project their hero's deficiencies upon others.

KD is "soft, a mental midget, lacks toughness, disappears for stretches" they say. Don't you realize these are the biggest knocks on LeBron? So are you legitimizing these criticisms? :lol Idiots

Tyreke Evans would average 30 getting all the KD touch fouls seriously any above average player would put up 7-12 more points playing under KD regular season rules. Melo would literally average like 20 FTA a game getting those calls.

Him and Harden are the reason I can't watch either team, that flopping garbage and when you let someone defend them they just become solid players. In general they are both bad for the sport it teaches acting and lying to get what you want and being rewarded for it.

OKC stole Game 3 and regained HCA ... they did what they were supposed to do

OKC have won 10 of their last 12 games versus the Spurs ... I'm scared of facing the Thunder tbh.

Durant has a legit opportunity to hoist the Larry O'Brien trophy in June.

You need to stop posting. Bron might flop or accentuate contact but he's a tough SOB. Pierce flops sometimes, but I would never call him soft either. There is a difference.
