Harden always seems to choke when the playoffs come. It pisses me off. He always shoots less than 40% from the field. In the 2014 season he shot 46%. I have no idea what he goes through between the end of the regular season and start of the playoffs. Its like some scrub transforms into James Harden's body and locks the regular season Harden in the closet until the playoffs are over. Thats honesly what I think happens.

Harden has only had one partically bad postseason for his standards. And that's this year. Last season, if you actually think for yourself and consider everything, Harden played his own par in the playoffs.

He shot 39% from the field and his 3P % was below 35 I think, for March and April in 2013. Against OKC, he put up the same numbers, he had that crazy TO game in game 4 though with like 7000 To's so it spiked his TO count.

Harden was done after febuary of last year and was playing pretty bad for the last two months because of his conditioning. He wasn't used to playing 39 MPG+ and his body broke down.

This season, the entire Blazers defense was built around NOT letting him beat them, so he tried to force it and played in their favor. Hence, the Rockets playing better when he playing a passing role. Except in game 6 when he went off and played great on both ends.

Regardless though, this is the last of the 12-14 era James Harden we're ever gonna see. He's reportedly about to work with Bruce Bowen for his defense this summer and is gonna improve on his mid-range game....Again. He has improved every year and this year will be his biggest jump IMO.
