No that's retarded, if you are really losing weight it has nothing to do with the weed. Literally happens to nobody unless they started smoking weed the same time they started eating healthy and exercising. So almost never

of course you do lose weight when smoking weed while eating the same. it takes a lot of energy. everybody knows that.

First of all, no. Second of all the vast majority of people eat considerably more when smoking weed while doing less activity. It does not "take a lot of energy"... stimulants (amphetamines, ephedrine, methylphenidate, etc) make you lose weight. Not weed.

Habitual marijuana smokers had high levels of visceral fat and insulin resistance in adipose tissue, but these abnormalities had little impact on the overall metabolism of glucose or lipids, researchers found.

Compared with controls, habitual marijuana smokers had a greater percentage of visceral fat (18% versus 12%, P=0.004) and a higher adipocyte insulin resistance index (110 versus 61.7, P=0.05), according to Monica C. Skarulis, MD, of the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases in Bethesda, Md., and colleagues.

However, contrary to expectations, there was no significant difference between the smokers and controls in hepatic fat content (1.1% versus 1.5%, P=0.59).

Nor were there differences in glucose intolerance, dyslipidemia, or insulin insensitivity, the researchers reported online in Diabetes Care.

The findings were somewhat surprising, senior author Monica C. Skarulis, MD, from the NIDDKD, told Medscape Medical News.[/quote]

If you want to lose weight, do lots of meth, crack, and heroin. start out your mornings with determination.

While i do generally agree with you in that blazing makes people eat more, not less, and is far more likely to lead to obesity and unhealthiness than to do the opposite, that is more true of casual users than chronic.

Heavy chronic smokers tend to be skinny and unhealthy looking (lacking muscle mass) because 1. the smoking process does make the body work hard (have a heavy smoking session then try waking up in 7 hours and your body feels as if made of cast iron), and 2. They reach a point of being constantly nauseous without grade, and can only eat once they've smoked. Hence it is easy to go from 12-8pm without eating anything at all.

From my personal experience and from the experience of the many heavy users i've known (not a single one of them is fat).

Doesn't help me lose weight at all. It depends on each high, I don't like munching out every time I blaze...it gets repetitive and it's usually junk food you munch out on like cheetos or nutella. What Dresta said is true af, sometimes I'll wake up, blaze a bowl, chill/school/go do something (one of those 3), and won't even realize that I haven't ate anything till like 4-5 hours later.

My recommendation: Don't be a stoner. Smoke weed, hell smoke weed everyday, but don't let it change your personality and make you a lazy sack of shit. It happens without you even noticing, and once you finally notice, you've already become a stoner and now you'll have to change back from being a stoner to your normal self.

Idk...i lost almost a hundred pounds since i started smoking regularly. At first i thought i was dying due to how fast i lost the weight (in about a year) and didn't feel i was exercising as vigorously as the weight loss would indicate (i walked a lot, stopped eating candy and artificial foods as much, and worked almost everyday on my feet), but since i gained muscle as a lost weight and i've seen no signs of apparent illness (except having to pee more often), so...

All i know is most of my life i was anywhere from 240-260, and no amount of time in the gym seemed to matter, nor dieting, then i started smoking pot regularly and went down to 185 in a year.

You should be outside or working out instead of being on ISH if you're serious

its raining outside , I ran a mile and a half earlier and played basketball for 30 minutes , did some pushups,crunches. Did some dumbell exercises for like 30 minutes. Ate an apple and a small bagel for breakfast and drank milk , for lunch I had rice and chicken , for dinner I had salad with some beef. Drank only water and milk. Is that enough?

Those sound good. There is no magical secret to weight loss, except if you burn more calories than you consume you will lose weight. Keep playing the basketball and other sports, keep eating healthy. You'll gradually lose weight over a while.

You can never do enough push ups and crunches though. Try the push up card game, it really helps and makes push ups fun

I started a low carb/low fat - high protein diet to kickstart my weight loss and what the diet does (in theory) is burn a lot of fat. Do it for a week and you'll see the difference quickly (not just because of the loss of water weight due to low carb consumption).

Anyways, days prior to starting this kickstart diet, I got high as hell for a couple days since I was trying to replace weed with alcohol to keep the calories down. Anyway, when the fat burning started, I would feel weird at all times of the day. Not just regularly foggy, but just hazy. I hadn't even smoked in a couple days. Then I realized weed metabolites are stored in your fat cells and with my 1000 calorie diet I was burning through fat like crazy. I lol'ed. Driving home after work was a challenge.

Weight loss isn't too difficult, I've done several bouts of it to the point that I get in really great shape but months later I end up letting go and gain it all back - primarily because of beer and chicken wings.

The way I see it is you sweating and still burning calories so I think so.

I'm not a big fitness guru so I could be wrong. I know it helps tone and build muscle.

And go with barbell exercises to start, they are better than dumbbell IMO. Bench, squats, military press, deadlifts, rows. Pullups and Dips are good too.

In that 1 week? I didn't weight myself but it was a lot. All my button up shirts finally closed :lol

I wouldn't recommend it unless you have the will. Google "PSMF" by lyle mcdonald if you think you're interested. For a normal diet, look through lyle's forum, it has great advice.

Don't look at the scale, it's going to vary so much day to day bc your homones, carb consumption, fecal matter, etc all determine your current weight.

How much weight did you lose total , from the time you started dieting till the time you were in best shape , how long did it take and how much weight did you lose , btw I don't think I'm even gonna be able to smoke weed for a while so I'm not counting on it for anything.

I've lost between ~80lbs (I'm 5'11) . I went from wearing xl to m shirts. I used to buy those fit shirts at h&m in size M. Im really wide so being able to fit in a medium shirt and size 34 jean with my big hips and thighs was insane. Started seeing some definition in my abs too. My diet wasnt always continuous but I'd say a few months shy from a year. I literally became a whole new person. Sadly I gained it all back a year later and then some (I turned 21 and have been been getting smashed every weekend since).

I'm back on it though, once you know the basics you feel confident.
Here's what I eat on a typical day:
Breakfast:

Black coffee (coffee is a good stimulant and decreases hunger)
Scrambled egss with ham and low fat cheese (1 whole and a couple whites) and spinach

Lunch: tuna sandwich

Dinner:chicken and rice <--twice, chicken is so low calorie and very filling that a couple servings is only a couple hundred calories. Make sure its skinless!

Once you get the hang of it, you wont need to count but try to measure and weigh your food meanwhile.
Fats= 9 calories per gram
Carbohydrates= 4 calories per gram
Protein= 4 calories per gram

And just in case you too are a drunk:
Alcohol (pure )= 7 calories per gram

Worked out like 3 times a week. Went easy on the cardio, mostly just did weights. You definitely don't want to undereat, you can ballpark your basal metabolic rate online, it approximates how many calories your body burns, aim for negative 500 calories per day. With any type of severe calorie deficit (as in not eating enough) your metabolism will adjust and slow down.

You can skip breakfast, there's a lot of positive results seen from "intermittent fasting", basically have an 8 hour window every day to eat and the rest of the time you dont eat. You can google it.
