I think it's time to build me a gaming PC. I already got one in mind, but if you guys don't mind sharing your ideal build, kindly post it on here, please.
This is also for everyone. If you have a question. Post it on here.
Thanks.

Id go with something along those lines

Stay away from Alienware. I think building your own PC at ibuypower.com is better than buying a prebuilt machine. 1.5 is a lot, you should have a great system

I'm getting mixed reviews with both Alienware & MSI. I wanted to get a gaming laptop because I travel every 2 months, & I can't live without playing computer/video games. :lol But it's like, whatever. It's just something that I'm gonna have to deal with.
I don't know, though. I see people on reddit building PC's worth 4k+ O.O It's crazy. Making me think that 1,5k won't be good enough. And that's all because I only have little knowledge about PC's. lol

That should be perfect. You don't mind mouse and pad? Or you plan on getting a controller?

Do some research on the CPUs. Usually .1 or .2GHz will barely improve your performance if at all but they'll charge an extra few hundred for it

I'm fine with a mouse & pad since I play DotA 2 most of the time.
But, 'The Stomping Land' is dropping this 30th, I wouldn't mind playing/trying it with a controller. Will a PS4 controller work?

Never seen a ps3 controller on PC. Only the xbox controller. You'd probably have to get a converter.

I've used a PS3 controller with my wife's laptop, but you need a program for it. I'll post here what it's called when I get a chance to use her machine. I've used it to play a beta, works well with vibration control.

ive built 5 PCs this year alone. what exactly do you want to do with this pc? other than gaming ofc
It's gonna be my main PC too, so yeah. So; YM, Chrome, Skype, Oovoo and other apps will be on it too.
Too be honest, I'm just really tired with the LAG also. I've installed Tuneup & everything on here. Made sure that it would be running somewhat smooth by keeping the features as basic as possible. But of course from time to time, I switch to the Aero theme.

Benchmarks on the i7 are not better for gaming than the i5 so you can just save 100 there. They don't really need liquid cooling. I have mine @4.4 on a Noctua and 1.2v.
You'd prolly want 16gb and at least 1800 memory for the speed and a possibility of RAMdisk on some games.
760 is good, if you can afford it do the 770; 2gb is all you need unless you want to run large resolution across several monitors.
Do a 250gb samsung SSD and a hard disk for storage.
I eat up BF4 on ultra with a Maximus Hero VI, i5 @4.4, a gtx 580, 16gb mem @2133, and a cavaiar black HD. You won't have to spend too much money to tear up top games and leave yourself room for improvement when needed.

I concur with getting ssd especially with your budget, prices are much more affordable now. Built my rig 2 years ago and my main regret is not adding an SSD

Thanks, man. I just want to play games on high settings. I'm sick and tired of playing them on low quality, especially DotA 2.
too lazy to give u a specific list but heres what u should go for:
ssd for ur OS(make sure to do this, makes hugeee difference
i5 or i7 cpu( not a huge difference for gaming)
get an nvidia gpu ( this should be the most expensive thing)
dont be dumb and get a cheap power supply
make sure to get 8 or more gigs of ram 16 is perfect
get a good fan especially if youre going to be doing overclocking
get a well known and reliable motherboard
make sure to research every part and get a roomy case for later upgrades
Thanks.
Thanks to everyone that gave their 2 cents. I appreciate it.

I see. K, thanks.
SSD is a must btw, they are expensive but they are worth every penny.
Let us know what you built btw.

I recently just built a computer (more like my friend did all the work) but its a great investment imo. I had to cheap out on some things because I wanted to get a sweet monitor and a custom case.

That's not true. There's a simple program to use a Ps3 controller. It's what I use to play Fifa on my PC and it's very easy.

I had trouble with motionjoy but I found one called ScpServer and all you do is plug it in the USB port and it plays like an Xbox controller. No problems whatsoever.

It worked on my laptop easy but for some reason it was giving me problems on my new desktop. Scp is even easier than motionjoy though.

Motionjoy picks up everything without configuration for all the EA sports games I play on my PC.

PS3 controller works on PC with some crappy 3rd party software installed. PS4 controller on the other hand works as a plug n play controller, no software needed.
Build the PC yourself. It's fun, you learn a lot, you get the best value for your cash, you get to finish your own "project". It's great fun and not hard at all, though it might seem a bit overwhelming at first.
DotA2? What's your MMR? :D

^I don't play ranked matches if that's what you're tryna say. They compete in tournaments, so they practice and play pub with me most of the time. I'm like a decade behind them, just started playing like last year January.
One of them lost against Arrow Gaming 2 days ago, and that match was for the spot to play in TI4.
