smart move. If you aren't a f*ck up you can make a lot of money in the trades. There will always be a demand for plumbers, HVAC guys, bricklayers, electricians, etc.

I'm interested in plumbing. Because of the pay of course. Just the negatives of it kills me. My father is a mechanic and makes a great living I'm considering that as well.

You serious?

How do you enjoy that sh!t?

You born with a love for it or something?

My tolerance for dry hard science is extremely high and I can only do stoichiometry or basic sn1 sn2 problems before falling asleep.

I will be a partner at my company within the next 1.5 years. Not really a goal i guess, since I've been given the company roadmap and it's already been promised to me, but I guess things can change between now and then.

Chemistry ain't bad at all, I just hate the ****ing labs.

As for the OP, I'm in school atm for Mechanical Engineering (might change it up, but it'll most likely be engineering) to not waste all the math classes I have taken/am going to take. Other than that, my father just renovated our produce shop into a real grocery store. Before it was 380 sq ft building, with produce outside and inside surrounded by a big parking lot and an even bigger backyard. Now, the building is 1370 sq ft (looks much better) and we will start selling a lot more stuff like meats, European food, etc. etc. My pops also works as a nurse in the night shift, so what I eventually wanna do with him is invest money he makes from nursing and I make from engineering into the store to make it even bigger, really use our big property line instead of renting sections of the backyard out to Mexicans to park their trailers their for $100/month. And if that succeeds and makes me money, then I will go for my masters in whatever engineering I decided and start up my company with the profits I made from the store and have people work for me. You know what they say, making money is easy if you have money. Wanna have an office in downtown Tampa (or move, preferably to Atlanta, but idk...Clearwater born n raised), have a luxury apartment while I'm young, and make some cash.

That is my goal. That is what I am striding for, and will eventually do.

Mash'allah brotha that seems very fulfilling indeed.

You've got the brainy creative start at the beginning and the social real estate stuff as a part time.

Glad to hear your family business is doing well, you guys have consistently made the BEST AJVAR, the BEST CEVAPI, the best SAMMICHES, and the BEST HALVA money can by and in a world of fast food I'd much rather spend an extra dollar for real food straight from a thousand year old balkan culture

The guy who did upholstering on one of our couches was an immigrant during Milosevic's reign who escaped and dude was mad chill. Good thing he's doing alright

Gotta ask where does a woman fit in all of this?

trades are a lot tougher life in general than white collar.

one thing i realized is you can be the worst lawyer/doctor/dentist and still make more than the best teacher or blue collar worker in this country.

lots of people i grew up with became teachers and man do they struggle with money....blue collar work day in and day out is a tough living and not kush at all. white collar office are much easier work weeks with generally much better pay.

i really advise people to shoot for the top end white collar careers IF money and ease of life are important to you. you'll still make a lot even if you're not good at it. i swear this is one of those things you realize after the fact in life.

and yeah money is very important to quality of life later especially when your friends have money and you don't based on the professions you chose. I don't think most people realize it when they make that decision in HS or pre college, thinking they will be happy with just having enough to live doing what they like...

College professor.

Money isn't the most important thing to me. Most of the things I do are relatively cheap or don't cost any thing at all. I like peace and quiet. I just want to live comfortable and enjoy the small things. The benefits of living in West Palm Beach is that I can relax in the sun and read books and comics, and then have the delight of seeing a beautiful pink sky behind palm trees as the sun goes down. Plus I always can get into a game of football or basketball, and I play a lot of video games. I do go to parties and concerts too, but I like the small life. People drain my energy after a while.

I just want enough where I'm not stressed out and can have money any time I want to do something. I'm not a big spender.

Nice work. If you don't mind constructive criticism, it appears you are going for realism, but your placement is off. Like, you can draw a mouth, a nose, eyes, etc., but they aren't always quite where they should be. For example, the drawing of the 2 kids, the older kid's mouth is too low, and I highly doubt that is the actual placement of his mouth. The dog, my favorite drawing, has 1 eye placed higher on the head.

Thanks for pointing out specifics! I definitely don't mind constructive criticism, in fact I encourage it. And I totally see what you're saying. Placement has been an issue for me for as long as I can remember, but I think I'm getting a lot better at it. I used to sometimes draw the entire subject so off-center that I wouldn't leave myself enough room to finish it. So at least I've (almost) perfected that. haha.

Gonna be an iron worker/welder/pipeline welder. Got a company in Alaska saying if I get the proper year of training I will be able to get a job making $78 an hour plus $150 per diem with travel paid for from Alaska from my home.

Will be getting a job making $18 an hour soon though for a little while until I learn how to weld pipe.

To those who posted about chemistry, only chemistry that interests me is drugs lol. I might be interested in chemistry if I was making MDMA or some shit like that.
