Pretty funny even though it's obviously staged. Everyone has the same reaction (running away) which wouldn't happen irl. At least someone would be curious enough to stay and find out wtf is going on.

i may be wrong, but i've always had a sense that mexico, and other latin american countries are very superstitious so i'm not really surprised by their reactions. i'm not entirely sure it's fake. besides, if there were some more measured and calm reactions, they could have easily been edited out as they wouldn't have been good tv. the show could have just kept the good reactions.
