I do not like hot dogs at all.

Its not because of any health reasons or what theyre made of or how theyre made. I just dont like em.

Burgers and sausage, yes please. Hot dogs, no thanks.

- Sandy Hook incident
- Calhoun recruiting violent thugs to strengthen the local basketball team
- The chimp who bit off the woman's face (Man that and Rise of the Apes have set back human-chimp relations at least 4 decades)
- Insane wealth discrepancies.
- In general, the attitude of the suburban liberal residents here. Although they are nice and polite and that counteracts a lot.

Not a fan of everyone thinking we wear boots and cowboy hats and all that...that might be true Shitsville, Texas but it isn't true of the major cities which have a population composed of 50%+ peeps who are NOT from Texas.

I was in San Antonio last year for three months and was pleasantly surprised at the lack of rednecks, when I would ask San Antonians about why I'm not running into shitkickers, they would legit get mad and go into this whole rant about Texas being unfairly potrayed by the media as having a bunch of cowboys running around. They also told me Dallas did have their fair share of hicks, never went to Dallas to see for myself doe.

As a Chicagoan, I hate when people think we all talk like the Super Fans, those are mostly old Polish dudes who talk like that.

is what barkley says about women in san antonio true?

and i always hear people say that houston is one of the more "black" texas cities. is that true?

Niagara Falls

i don't know what it is but every old korean person that comes here just has to see these Falls. i've been there for a soccer tourney a long time ago and its the most boring place. The Canada side looks like a ton of fun but the US side is so boring its not even funny, and the Falls are highly overrated, i'd rather go to Ocean City and watch waves break.

Crabs

Don't get me wrong i like crabs but they are way too much work for the meat. i prefer crab cakes, or big alaskan crab legs over regular crabs. Foreigners always want to try crabs around my way, but apparently they're very expensive in other countries.

I did notice a lot of fat chicks but didn't seem to me like it had way more than So Cal (where I've been living the last few years). I was working for a company that works for Toyota and there were a lot of butch dykes, easily the most I've ever seen in my life.

If we are talking state i guess the OSU Buckeyes, can't say i hate them but i'm not really a fan. Overrated. They got exposed last season. Soft ass schedule after soft ass schedule. Ask a bucks fan about it and it's everyone but OSU's fault, the BCS is out to get OSU, Jim Tressel is Jesus Christ, etc.

I almost had the same comments about crabs.

Love crab meat but its a lot of work and picking them leaves an unholy mess plus there is no way u can throw it in your home trash unless its goin out that night or the next day, kind of a hassle but I do like eating crabs. Just kinda a struggle at times

i just throw all the crab remnants into a plastic bag and stick it in the freezer until garbage day.

you won't smell a thing. I do this all the time. My wife loves crab and crab legs, i'm not so wild about them. Just tie up the bag you won't smell a thing. I've forgotten the crab shells in the freezer for 2 weeks didn't smell anything. I won't even keep the shells in my garbage over night they reek so bad.

it also sucks because you can't get that smell out of your hands no matter how much you wash. you got to wait like 2~ days.

i always cut my hands on picking at the meat too. i almost hate picking crabs more than taking the skin off of roast chestnuts.

Dallas is pretty much completely hick free...Fort Worth is another story though

Not true about Ft. Worth. Most hicks you see here are from out of town coming dressed up to the stockyards, either local small town people wanting to see the "city" or tourist both believing it is how you should dress while in the area. It's one section of the city where you see this, go anywhere else in Ft. Worth and you don't run into this at all.
Even most small towns fairly close to DFW aren't full of hicks, I grew up in Cleburne which is 30 minutes south of DFW with a population of 30k and still wouldn't see a cowboy hat more than once a month at the most.
Rednecks are everywhere but way less common in any part of Texas than what is portrayed, even being a Texas guy I feel you are believing in the stereotype but just believe it is in a separate part of Texas than where you reside

Fair enough, I rarely ever go to FW I just know it has a bit of that rep, that and I know there are clubs in FW for those that like country music. I always imagine walking into one of those and everyone is 2-stepping.

I rarely go outside of the city too, but when I do it does seem like the voices get some of the "Texas Twang" going, and in Dallas I feel there is little to no accent...but yeah that doesn't mean everyone likes to ride mechanical bulls in their spare time.

regardless I know the stereotype is much more myth than fact
