Because their ages are off they never faced each other at their absolute bests, which takes a little away. Nowhere near Magic and Bird and not up there with Shaq and Duncan in importance although Duncan and Shaq didn't have as much hate. Pierce is the closest thing James has ever had to a rival but it's like MJ's Bulls and Isaiah's Pistons in that James will still be an MVP candidate after P is retired.
