Reffing has been pretty substandard for a long time now. If not for the repercussions, I'd say alot more coaches would speak out about it.

I've had the belief that refs have been influencing games for a long time now. Not rigging games, but they definately have used their powers to influence playoff outcomes and perhaps even some regular season games too.
