- Waded ending up winning a ring in 2006 at age 25.
- Westbrook is currently 25 and having an epic 2nd round (probably going to the finals).

Wade was longer, and stronger.. Westbrook is faster, jumps about as high...Both have incredible first steps and quickness.. It's close.

Wade had better body control.

Wade's explosive leaping ability is pretty underrated. I feel like Wade would somehow elevate quicker than everyone else. It's how he got so many blocks, imo. Westbrook ends up going higher tho.

Westbrook has a quicker first step and faster top speed.

Westbrook if you mean raw athleticism. Wade was more skilled.

:biggums: Westbrook and this one isn't even close to me. I consider Wade to be better at that age, but Westbrooks athleticism > Wade's by a lot.

Westbrook and it's not close. I don't think I've ever seen a more athletic guard

Wade was never as explosive or fast as Westbrook is.

It really depends. Westbrook is more pure speed and better hops than Wade who had around a 35 inch vertical when he was younger, but Wade is able to play bigger because his arms are so long. A lot of people forget how important length is and Wade at 6'4" has a 6'11" wingspan, so he's never even really had to jump that high in the first place. Wade was definitely more graceful with the ball. Westbrook has nothing on him in his prime off the dribble, but I suppose that is more skill related than athleticism related. Dwade has the best mix tapes of any player ever because his mixture of athleticism, speed, quickness, skill, and ball handling. Wade is also more nimble than Westbrook and had better body control.

Westbrook is just 6'3 and has reached rim level before. Shit is crazy.

Looking at their combine results, their verticals were more or less the same (Wade's no step higher, Brook's max higher). They ran the sprint in the same time, but Wade was superior in the agility drill (fastest out of entire combine).

Considering size, strength, quickness, length, explosiveness, body control etc. are all components of athleticism, it is pretty clear that Wade was more athletic. Wade had a more complete combination of these attributes. Being an energetic pogo stick does not define transcendent athleticism.

What about durability and endurance? Westbrook didn't miss a game since High School until that freak injury against Beverly. Then he comes back after 3 surgeries and plays better than he did before. He definitely got recovery, durability, endurance and resilience over Wade.

Dawkins and GD have individual game highlights of Wade from 2004 to 2014.

Wade didn't look as fast or as explosive as Westbrook in any of them.

I dunno, but Wade got a minor knee injury and fell off, while WB had 3 surgeries and seems to have come back even more explosive.

You just described Derrick Rose yet people think he's more athletic than Westbrook

Lebron at 25 was just as if not more athletic just 6 inches taller and 40-50 lbs heavier..

Who? We're comparing athletic guards here not whose hairline is receding the fastest.

Over their whole careers thus far, for sure; but that is easy to say when comparing a 32 and 25 year old. Wade played nearly a complete season in 04-05 and 05-06 (with extended playoff runs), then the next season he played 50-odd games and got first serious injury (@ 25-6). Westbrook is currently that kind of age and for the first time has been suffering recurring injury problems. Who knows what will happen to his body as he ages.

Westbrook is more explosive where as Wade had a mixture of explosiveness and grace. I'll give the edge to Wade as his body control was insane. Many times you'll see Westbrook out of control where as Wade was always in control.

Same tier, only Westbrook is more durable, and tougher physically. So him. Wade was definitely the better, smarter basketball player though. So there is that going for him.

Definitely better at crying for free throws.

Westbrook on the right team would average a triple double.
