The most impressive one is one that was not mentioned... never fouling out. Ever. Or being kicked out for any other reason.

Here are some more...

I'll go into much more detail on this topic later (I don't have much time right now), but here is a tidbit that I posted on another forum...

Thanks to fpliii, we now have a new source that revises some of Chamberlain's earlier records.

http://www.nbastats.net/

Career 30-30 games:

Aside from Chamberlain, there have been 36 30-30 games in NBA history, and Russell is the leader of that group, with 7 (Bellamy and Thurmond are next with 3 each.)

How about Wilt? 132.

40-30 (or 30-40) games: Other than Wilt, the NBA has had 9 40-30 games, with Baylor being the only player to have 2.

Chamberlain? 73

50-30 games: Pettit and Baylor each with 1

Wilt? 32

60-20 games: Aside from Wilt, there have been four (Baylor with 3 and Shaq with 1)

Chamberlain? 28

60-30 games: Baylor with 1

Wilt? 8

40-40 games: There have been 8 in the history of the NBA, and Chamberlain had all of them.

50-40 games: Obviously, Wilt would be the only player to have ever have accomplsihed that feat, which he did 5 times.

70-30 games: Chamberlain has the only 2, 78-43 and 73-36 (against Bellamy.)

he got ejected in '62 season.
funny thing, they gave him 3 technical fouls - maybe that's his greatest record, only guy to get 3 Ts

Mr. DB forgot 9 triple doubles in a row, and 35 field goals in a row without miss... or the only guy to get a 20 20 20 triple double

But what about 227 double doubles in a row?

Another little known Wilt fact. He was also ejected in the first quarter of a game in his 62-63 season, which, BTW, broke his regular season consecutive 25+ point streak of 126 straight games. Had he not been kicked out of that game...and his 25+ streak would have gone to 147 straight games.

His 20-20-20 game. A double triple double.

25 points, 22 rebounds, and 21 assists.

Noone will ever repeat that, harder than the 100 pt game.

Closest was Rondo had 18/17/20 game.

As a side-note, and in the SAME season, Chamberlain hung a 22-27-19 game.

And only heaven knows how many other 20-20-20 games he had in his career, if we would have had his known block totals for all of his games.

Yeah he probably had multiple quadruple doubles if blocks were counted. I don't know why the NBA doesn't count blocks from full archived games from that era.

His greatest feat was being able to hold up a cardboard 100 sign with his scrawny frail arms

CavsFW would have the exact info, but I believe a rookie Wilt was already benching 350 lbs, and in an SI article in '64, he was "easily" putting up 400 lbs. Of course, those were before he really bulked up.

I don't think there is any question that Wilt was stronger than Shaq.

We do KNOW, that in a nationally televised game on Christmas Day in 1968, that SI recorded 23 blocked shots by the Dipper. Which, of course, would easily be the record (17 is the "official" record.) And there are researched estimates of Wilt with 30+ block games, as well. Harvey Pollack even lost count at 25 in one.

Once again, I want YOU to some actual RESEARCH, and go ahead and find these articles of a "weak, scrawny" Wilt that exist.

BTW, if you could even find ONE, I could plaster ISH with an endless list of articles which credit Wilt with ENORMOUS strength (including a FIRST-HAND live interview with Arnold Schwartzenegger...who would probably know a little more about strength than someone like you.)

But go ahead. You have your assignment...now educate all of his here at ISH about this "weakling" Wilt.

Biggest drop-off from RS to PS is definitely his most impressive feat.

This has been TRASHED MANY times.

But how about this...

In Wilt's first 67 post-season games, 35 of which came against Russell and the Celtic Dynasty, he AVERAGED 30 ppg, 27 rpg, 5 apg, and shot an eFG% of .515 (in post-seasons that shot about .420 in that same span) to go along with probably 8+ bpg, and all the while DRAMATICALLY outplaying his OPPOSING centers (and Russell.)

Go ahead and give me YOUR list of players who had even ONE playoff SERIES with a 30-27-5-8 .515 statline. Hell, give your list of players who had ONE post-season GAME with that statline.
